  • Reports to:                 Technical Records and Library Manager

Job Purpose

The Technical Records Officer reports directly to the Technical Records and Library Manager. The Technical Records Officer is responsible for reviewing records forwarded for storage and ensuring that they provide clear and accurate account of maintenance conducted. The Technical Records Officer is responsible for liaising with the operational departments to ensure timely transmittal of technical records and availability of technical data required to support aircraft maintenance.

Key Duties and Responsibilities;

  • Inspecting and ensuring accurate technical records are forwarded for retention in the Technical records;
  • Reviewing and updating of the Aircraft Technical Logbook;
  • Preparing reports on maintenance tasks accomplished and updated;
  • Providing history of aircraft maintenance and tasks accomplished in support of any organizational or regulatory requirements;
  • Supporting the transfer of records during aircraft change of ownership;
  • Ensuring accurate and correct update of aircraft status information in the computer software used for planning;
  • Maintaining and updating aircraft documents to include all the required certificates;
  • Preparing and submitting C of A applications 30 day before expiry;
  • Conducting logbook entries and ensuring the accuracy of the information entered as a permanent record of the respective aircraft;
  • Ensuring all maintenance activities have been uploaded in the planning software after the accomplishment of the tasks;

Desired Profile: Required education, Experience, and Abilities

  • Have at least 3 years’ experience in continuing airworthiness management of aircraft
  • Have at least one of the following qualifications:
    • Hold, or have held, an aircraft engineer license;
    • Have a qualification in aircraft maintenance;
    • Have an engineering degree in any of the following disciplines: aeronautical, avionics, mechanical, electrical or electronics
  • Have the following knowledge:
    • The regulations and standards applicable to the airworthiness of aircraft authorized to operate under the AOC;

Job Purpose

The Maintenance Planning Engineer reports directly to the Maintenance Planning Manager. The Maintenance Planning Engineer is responsible for reviewing aircraft technical data and coordinating the development of maintenance instructions for the fleet. The Maintenance Planning Engineer is responsible for liaising with Approved Maintenance Organizations and operational departments to ensure the timely and efficient accomplishment of maintenance tasks. The Maintenance Planning Engineer conducts studies of the maintenance requirements, schedules the conducted of tasks, monitors the incorporation of the tasks and updates the planning software with the accomplishment information.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Developing and updating the organization’s maintenance plan that includes long-term, medium-term and short-term plans;

As part of the expansion strategy, we are looking for interested, qualified, and competent candidates to fill the following position:

  • Job Title:                   B1 or B2 Engineer
  • Reports to:                 Shift Supervisor
  • Department:              Maintenance & Engineering
  • Duty Station:             Kigali International Airport (KIA)

Job Purpose

The Line B1 or B2 Engineer is a licensed personnel reporting to the Shift Supervisor and is responsible for the conduct of aircraft line maintenance and release to service. The Line Engineer works as an overall team leader during the conduct of line maintenance as assigned by the Shift Supervisor.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conducting scheduled and unscheduled line maintenance activities and ensuring that the aircraft is release to service after maintenance is conducted in accordance with approved technical data;
  • Planning and coordinating the daily activities and ensuring that all equipment, tool and spares are available for the required maintenance activities;
  • Conducting rectification of aircraft defects and ensuring defects are corrected;
  • Recommending the required equipment, tools and technical data for the conduct of line maintenance tasks;
  • Providing the job training, coaching and mentoring of personnel within line maintenance;
  • Reviewing line maintenance departmental procedures and recommending corrections as necessary;
  • Preparing equipment and operational reports that allow for analysis for continual improvements;
  • Developing a work culture that promotes safety within line maintenance;
  • Responding to audits conducted by internal and external parties;
  • Completing relevant maintenance documentation including forms and checklist required during line maintenance;

Desired Profile: Required education, Experience, and Abilities

  • Have at least 8 year in maintenance environment of which 2 years’ experience in line maintenance
  • Have at least one of the following qualifications
    • Hold an aircraft engineer license in category B1 and/or B
    • Have an engineering degree or diploma in any of the following disciplines: aeronautical, avionics, mechanical, electrical or electronics
  • Have the following knowledge:
    • Comprehensive knowledge of the regulations and standards applicable to airworthiness of aircraft
    • The relevant parts of the organization manuals related to aircraft maintenance;
    • The aircraft maintenance and engineering quality system;
    • Computer and system analytical skills.
