16 Positions Internships at Rwanda Youth in Agribusiness Forum: ( 18 March 2020)
Rwanda Youth in Agribusiness Forum (RYAF) is a platform established to bring together different youth organizations, individual youth farmers and entrepreneurs in Agriculture Sector working in one or many of the following sub-sectors: crop production., livestock, agro-processing, inputs and other Agro-services (extension, marketing, food packaging, farm mechanization, seed multiplication etc.) as well as ICT for Agriculture in Rwanda. The platform aims to change the old mind-set among the youth vis-i-vis the agricultural sector in Rwanda, while orienting youth to reach out to other farming groups to raise awareness on the practice of business-oriented agriculture.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Resources signed an MOU with Rwanda Development Board (Capacity Development and Employment) to cooperate on National Professional Internship Program implementation.
RYAF had signed MoU with MINAGRI to implement the signed MoU between MINAGRI and RDB-CDE.
RYAF also entered into MoU-based partnership with HINGAWEZE/USAID funded project under the framework of efficiently engage and involve young graduates into internship program to provide youth with the opportunity to gain work exposure and experience, build occupational competences, deepen technical skills that were imparted during education and improve their capacity to work.
Feed the Future Rwanda Hinga Weze is a USAID funded activity implemented by CNFA. The primary objective of the Feed the Future Rwanda Hinga Weze activity is to sustainably increase smallholder farmers’ income, improve the nutritional status of Rwandan women and children, and increase the resilience of the agriculture and food systems to the changing climate in ten districts: Gatsibo, Kayonza, Bugesera, (Eastern Province); Nyabihu, NYarnasheke, Karongi (Western Province); and Nyamagabe (Southern Province).
To achieve the goals of the activity, five nutrient-rich value chains specifically high-iron beans, orange flesh sweet potato (OFSP), Irish potato, maize and horticulture have been targeted and Hinga Weze will achieve results by combining capacity building with in-kind matching grants and technical support to strengthen agriculture extension, improve agricultural infrastructure, facilitate linkages between value chain actors, improving the quality of product and market linkages as well as enabling the access to finance environment

Through RYAF/HW MoU Partnership, the Rwanda Youth in Agribusiness Forum (RYAF) is inviting individual qualified candidates to apply for Agribusiness Management Support Interns position to be placed in supported cooperatives and aggregators/SMEs in 7 districts of Hinga Weze districts of operations( Gatsibo, Kayonza, Bugesera, (Eastern Province); Nyabihu, Nyamasheke, Karongi (Western Province); and Nyamagabe (Southern Province)). To learn and provide management support in aggregation and post-harvest management, financial management and day-to-day business operations to increase and track sales and improve profitability of their business.
