Job responsibilities
– To manage the design, planning, conduct, implementation and analysis of all the agricultural surveys; – To provide the necessary agricultural statistics to National Accounts and participate in GDP compilation; – To work in close collaboration with the MINAGRI and with other institutions and projects involved in this sector in order to harmonize data and to avoid duplication; – To collaborate closely with the Price Statisticians – To assess the quality of data collected in the rural areas; – To participate in the development of the Annual Work Program, the Budget and the Annual Report of activities of the Unit; – Provision of advice and build capacity of the division; – To do any other task related to this job as may be requested by his/her supervisors

Job responsibilities
– To timely produce and disseminate reports of external commerce, including statistics concerning the balance of payments; – To ensure that international General Trade System is implemented; – To conduct annual Foreign Private Capital Census and produce timely reports; – To conduct and ensure quality methodology for the monthly Informal Cross Border Census and produce monthly reports; – To work in close collaboration with relevant NSS institutions in order – To harmonize data and avoid duplication; – To produce necessary data inputs for the National Accounts; – To participate in the development of the Annual Work Program, the Budget and the Report of activities of the Unit; – To provide regular monitoring and progress reports to the Director of the Department.

Job responsibilities
POSITION: EDITORIAL AND PUBLICATION SPECIALIST DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -To timely produce all statistical productions of the Institute from various departments, including Rwanda Statistical Yearbook, Statistical Newsletter, Magazine etc; -To lead and coordinate the implementation and evaluation of Advance Release Calendar -To quality assure the language, design and editing of all statistical publication of the Institute; -To lead and work with PR to coordinate the implementation of branding manual for corporate image of the institute; -To lead and coordinate the printing process of all NISR publications; -Design and edit all NISR publications using the appropriate soft wares; -To lead and coordinate the production of MDG and EDPRS reports; -To do any other task as may be required by the supervisors. -To lead and coordinate the dissemination of statistical products of the Institute; -To be responsible for responding to all statistical data requests from different data users, including international communities, -To regular update the NISR website with most recent updated statistics and stories behind the figures; -To lead and coordinate the production and implementation of NISR Television and radio programs for strengthening the dissemination and public awareness on statistical activities; -To regular produce the Statistical Newsletters, magazines and other dissemination tools; -To regular updates the statistical databases with most recently produced statistics, such as DevInfo Rwanda, SDMX, Prognoz, etc in collaboration with ICT department -To regular update the data users, and response to their requests through Rapid SMS dissemination platform; -To do any other task as may be required by the supervisors. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Journalism, Humanities, Marketing, Social Sciences with 5 years of relevant working experience with superior writing and editing skills, working both with technical and non-technical content or, Masters degree in the above said fields with relevant of 3 years working experience, with superior writing and editing skills, working both with technical and non-technical content. Job responsibilities

– Prepare and submit to the Board an audit plan and strategy relevant to the NISR and PforR Program based on risk assessment at hand; – Conduct routine financial audit, compliance audit, systems and performance audit in accordance with government and international audit standards as well as any other provision in the PforR program document. – Undertake spot check controls to ascertain conformity to Program for Results (PforR) program Operational Manuals; – Conduct special audits to investigate any identified irregularities, weak internal control and areas susceptible to fraud; – Prepare and conduct debriefing to auditee concerned; – Prepare and present audit reports including auditee’s comments to the Board; – Prepare and submit recommendations to improve internal control procedures based on audit findings; – Monitor and evaluate implementation of both internal and External audit recommendations; – Establish a good working relationships with NISR auditor based on the existing GoR’s financial management and control measures. – Participate in the preparations for the internal and External DLI expenditure verification on PforR under the World Bank funding.
