Agropy Ltd is a joint venture company of Horizon Group Ltd and Agropy UK ltd. The company operates in Kigali and Musanze District. It is involved in the production of various products for crop protection, veterinary use, and public health.

The company is seeking to recruit highly experienced and competent professionals in the following areas:

Finance & Operations Manager  (1)

  • Among others the Finance Manager will be responsible for;
  • Assisting the General Manager in managing all accounting and Finance duties of the Company including; the annual budget, Financial Statements, and Liaison between the company and external partners.
  • Manage all internal accounting and financial reporting functions
  • Participate in the development and implementation of internal policies and procedures on all accounting, auditing, tax accounting and payments, investments and cash management, reporting, and accounting information systems
  • Monitor the performance of the company’s accounting software;
  • Strategic and analytical thinking with a practical and pragmatic mindset and a strong interest in Business Development
  • Business Planning and execution
  • Leadership for results, optimizing the work of multi-disciplinary teams & Individuals

  • A post-graduate professional Qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CFA.
  • A Master’s degree in Accounting with a minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience would be considered.
  • Experience in the chemical industry at a senior management position would be an added advantage
  • Skills in leading people and management of teams
  • Strong and proven ability to work independently to deliver results and
  • Strong commitment to professional ethics and integrity
  • Fluency in oral and written English or French with working knowledge of the other.

Veterinary Officer (1)

Will be responsible for Delivering services that meet AgroPy’s Mission and promoting Animal Protection Range and act as a link between the company and regulatory authorities, ensuring that products are manufactured and distributed in compliance with appropriate legislation requirements.

 Key duties of the job include:

  • Monitor and Keep close relationships with animal owners to be able to collect feedback, predict trends.
  • Design and conduct trials related to the application of pesticides.
  • Help Planning, undertaking and overseeing product trials and regulatory inspections
  • Ensuring that quality standards are met and submissions meet strict deadlines.
  • Participating in preparing documentation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all levels
  • Strong leadership skills with a dedication to drive and achieve results
  • Knowledge of employee relationship building and performance management techniques
  • Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills. Experience with other financial systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in veterinary medicine or equivalent in the same domain
  • Minimum 3 Years’ experience in Animal protection domain
  • Veterinary Registration Certificate at RCVD.
  • Fluent in English/French and Kinyarwanda,
  • Proficiency in Research Methods
  • Negotiation capability
  • Self-Confidence,
  • Product Knowledge
  • Presentation Skills
  • Client Relationships
