Mountain Ceramics Company Ltd is Ceramic tiles manufacturing company that is currently setting up its manufacturing plant in Muhanga industrial park, in Southern Province, Muhanga District, Nyamabuye Sector with principal offices in Gacuriro, KL house, the fifth floor. The company seek to recruit a quick learner store keeper who has integrity and is results-oriented to join the finance department.

Job Description

Job Title: Store keeper

DepartmentFinance

Reports to: Chief Finance Officer

Key responsibilities:

  • Effectively receive and record procured stock items
  • Preparing issue stock vouchers for all materials issues
  • Proper custody of delivery notes, supplier invoices received at the factory
  • Recording stock issues in sage evolution 200
  • Keeping Proper records of fuel usage
  • Keeping proper logbooks for service trucks on site
  • Inspect deliveries and prepare and sign off stores and transport documents, and maintain confidential files and accurate stores transaction records to ensure immediate reporting on stock movements in line with the organization’s requirements.
  • Support the Logistics officer in daily stores closing reconciliation
  • Perform daily inspections and prepare reports on the quantity and quality of the items received/distributed
  • Prepare all necessary documentation – Goods Received Note (GRN) for every consignment received
  • Perform monthly stock count and accounting system inventory reconciliation
  • Ensure safety and security of stores, equipment and materials kept in the store and control access to stores and ensure that only authorized personnel enter storage facilities.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor, or any other MCC Senior Manager.

Mandatory requirements

  1. A Bachelor’s degree with specialization in accounting or finance
  2. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, E-mail, Outlook; previous experience in sage evolution 200 is an added advantage;
  3. Attention to detail, ability to organize paperwork in a methodical way
  4. Clients-oriented, patient and willingness to learn new things
  5. Knowledge and prior experience in finance and accounting is an added advantage
  6. Demonstrated ability to maintain accuracy and confidentiality in performing responsibilities
  7. Fluency in English and Kinyarwanda is required (oral and written).
  8. Understanding of accounting concepts
  9. Compliance with ethical codes of conduct

Job Description

Job Title: Junior Accountant

DepartmentFinance

Reports to: Chief Finance Officer

Key responsibilities:

  • Receiving and filing finance documents
  • Preparing internal control documents for authorization
  • Recording issue stock vouchers in the accounting system
  • Managing petty cash for the institution
  • Recording invoices, Payment Vouchers (PVs) and Petty cash vouchers (PCVs) in the accounting system (Sage evolution 200)
  • Facilitating monthly stock counts
  • Performing petty and mobile money statement monthly reconciliation
  • Performing Monthly bank reconciliations
  • Performing assets register versus physical assets reconciliation
  •  Ensuring compliancy with statutory requirements
  • Preparation and accounting of casual labour Payroll
  • Accounting and declaration of essential taxes (VAT, CIT, PAYE, Pension, Maternity, WHT-15%, WHT-30%, CBHI etc.)
  • Other finance related tasks assigned by the supervisor

Mandatory requirements

  1. A Bachelor’s degree with specialization in accounting or finance
  2. Atleast CPA intermediate level or CAT certificate holder
  3. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, E-mail, Outlook; previous experience in sage evolution 200 is an added advantage;

Job Description

Job Title: Geologist

DepartmentRaw materials Preparation department

Reports to: Production manager

Key responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and explore the clay and its natural resources.
  • Maintain the consistency during raw materials harvesting
  • Make quarry process predictions based on previous harvesting done
  • Interpret and report data collected from the field
  • Prepare and Submit statutory reports on clay exploitation activities
  • Ensure that the quarry operations are carried out in accordance with applicable health and safety standards, including standards necessary to protect the health and safety of the mining staffs
  • Inform on timely basis taxes and duties in connection to prevailing licenses
  • Conduct all required analysis (Geological survey, and necessary lab test for chemical,mechanical, technical and mineralogical analysis and mixing ration required) to ensure consistency in raw materials during harvesting, before using it and during processing
  • Study the relationship between an organization’s projects, and its environmental impact and sustainability.
  • Develop new methods for geological analysis and data collection with the least harmful environmental impact.
  • Analyze geological, geochemical and geophysical data collected by tests and surveys.
  • Manage sampling and reports from apprentice geologists and provide purposeful feedback and recommendations.
  • Design topographical and geological maps.
  • Learn innovative and modernized methods of geological work by attending workshops and courses.
  • Manage and oversee contractors and their work and ensure that workers are compliant with health and safety regulations.
  • Deliver pertinent feedback and insight into work projects to management through regular meetings. Conduct frequent training sessions with staff regarding investigations and data interpretation.

Mandatory requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree with specialization in Geology/Geoscience
  • Atleast 3 years of experience in mining, environmental assessments and land development
  • Adaptable to work in various environmental conditions
  • Excellent knowledge of geology and geological factors of the specified location.
  • Great technical ability to design mappings of geological data, and use geological databases and software.
  • Excellent communication skills to work with management and staff
  • Practical experience in collecting and analyzing geological information such as water, soil and rock data.
  • Comply strictly with safety codes, standards and procedures.
  • Ability to write accurate reports on data collection and analysis.
  • Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and research skills.
  • Intuitive leader who displays accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Abide by all federal, state and local laws related to geological work.
