Job description

1. Promote entrepreneurship among Persons with disabilities
 Identifies entrepreneurs among Persons with disabilities
 Designs training module on entrepreneurship
 Conducts trainings to empower Persons with disabilities entrepreneurs
 Develops and updates a comprehensive database of Persons with disabilities entrepreneurs
 Provides technical support and advices during the registration stage of cooperatives and companies initiated by Pwds
 Work closely with stakeholders involved in entrepreneurship to includes Pwds in their plans
2. Promote business and creates jobs for Pwds
 Act as NEP Technical Focal Point and coordinate all NEP interventions at institutional level;
 Coordinate capacity building of Business Owners with Disabilities
 Identifies business opportunities for Persons with disabilities
 Designs project proposals for identified business opportunities
 Submits and follows up project proposals to partners for funding
 Follows up the implementation of funded projects
 Analyses submitted projects from PwDs and provides appropriate advice
 Facilitates graduates from TVET to create jobs
 Facilitates the acquisition of startup tool kits to Pwds
 Develops a comprehensive database of created jobs by Pwds

 Monitors businesses and cooperatives supported through earmarked transfers
 Carries out market research for the products of PwDs
 Identifies and solves issues and conflict within cooperatives initiated by PwDs in conjunction with local authorities
 Prepares and submit annual report on created jobs and cooperatives/companies/individual business
3. Ensure persons with Disabilities access to Finances
 Participate in researches related to the inclusion of PwDs in Financial Sector
 Provides technical support on Pwds projects to be submitted to financial institutions
 Assists Persons with disabilities to access to loans from financial institutions
 Mobilizes persons with disabilities to join tontines and other saving initiatives
 Works closely with corporates to include Pwds in corporate social responsibility.

Job description

 Keep assigned vehicles free from damage, in acceptable condition, and at all times.
Employee must ensure that the vehicle is in a proper and safe condition prior to use,
and accept responsibility to report any damage or mechanical malfunctions;
 Work extra/overtime hours as needed according to departmental workload;
 Maintain an excellent driving record;
 Respect and maintain the relationship with other employees;
 Be willing and able to perform tasks without direct supervision;
 Transport for designated persons and NCPD guests;
 Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor
Having a A2 certificate in any field
Provide transport service to NCPD staff and guests Persons with Disabilities

Disability Right Monitoring Officer Under Contract at NATIONAL COUNCIL OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES (NCPD): (Deadline 17 May 2023)

Job description

Ensure the full implementation of laws and rights promoting the Persons with
Disabilities in general;
 Develop, initiate, maintain and revise laws, programs that were adopted to develop
the full inclusion of Persons with Disabilities;
 Consult with the Ministry of Justice as needed to resolve difficult legal compliance
issues Respond to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and
Standards of Conduct by evaluating or recommending the initiation of investigative
procedures. Develops and oversees a system for uniform handling of such violations;
 Ensure proper reporting of violations or potential violations to duly authorized
enforcement agencies as appropriate and/or required;
 Provide legal professional support and advice to the Executive Secretary;
 Provide proactive legal assistance and advice on various legal issues like dispute
resolution, government funding agreements, regulatory, employment, and
governance;
 Participate in the planning periodic activities of the Council;
 Assist the Council in compliance with all various legal requirements;
 Advise on minimal liability and legal exposure for the functioning of the Secretariat;
 Ensure that the legal documents and other contractual documents are effectively
drafted, reviewed, interpreted, and vetted;
 Take decisive actions on various legal matters and assessing contentious and
uncontroversial issues;
 Participate in workshops regarding the drafting laws and regulation about the persons
with disabilities;
 Supervise, research and analyze implication of case law, legislation, and regulatory
matters that affect the Council and reporting them back to the Executive Secretary;
 Draft the modules on the rights of persons with disabilities;
 Participate in the advocacy activities aiming at promoting the rights of persons with
disabilities;
 Produce weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual activities report;
 Perform any other task assigned by the Executive Secretary.
