JOB SPECIFICATIONS
The Business Intelligence Analyst (BIA) is a role within the Technology team at NCBA RWANDA and reports to the Head of IT.
The Job holder is responsible for the business solutions that support business intelligence, Electronic Data Warehouse and digital transformation goals.
The BIA will ensure the efficient design, configuration, development and deployment of the technologies required for analytics, functional reporting and information management. Work with business users to understand the data and how to generate the businesses KPIs and metrics as well as the dashboards and/or reports used for their delivery.
The effective execution of the role’s responsibilities should enhance the NCBA RWANDA brands by delivering on the below key responsibilities;
- The design/analysis, development, delivery and ongoing improvement of all BNR EDWH, Business Intelligence and Analytics processes on all the bank’s applications.
- Adherence to internal policies and procedures for the development and management of BNR EDWH process instances and Business Intelligence repository along ITIL and other best-practice standards.
COMPETENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to work as part of an agile team, to manage competing priorities, design solutions as part of a larger roadmap and to be hands on in supporting implemented technologies.
- Good understanding of Business Intelligence concepts and technologies: Data warehouses, OLAP data structures, etc.
- Knowledge and experience with ITIL as a best practice framework for IT Service Management.
- As part of the BI team, continuously review the best technologies to deliver the solution and help drive adoption through communication and training to end-users.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or its equivalent in a Technology related field i.e. Information Technology, Software engineering.
- 3 years of software engineering/development using formal Software Lifecycle methodology
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience of the following:
- Application back-end development using Oracle Database, SQL, PL/SQL
- Application/Web Server experience with WebLogic, JBoss, Apache
- Design, implementation and maintenance of Data warehouse platfo
Global Markets Senior Dealer at NCBA Bank Rwanda: (Deadline 21 October 2020)
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
The Global Markets Senior Dealer role reports to the Head of Global Markets. He/She will be responsible to provide Bank’s Treasury products and services to existing clients and to grow the bank’s share of Forex business through marketing and client acquisitions.
This role will be responsible for revenue generation, client retention and portfolio expansion through new clients and new products. He/She will be in charge of below main activities :
- Implementation and execution of the laid down sales strategy that is coherent with the overall bank strategy within the approved risk appetite and portfolio standards.
- Gather information and prepare multi-currency market report and propose an appropriate currency and interest rates for the Bank;
- Provide input into the monthly, quarterly and annual Treasury business plan;
- Deal in interbank foreign exchange market, money markets and investment in Government securities as per internal guidelines set in asset and liability management (ALM) policy;
- Grow the bank’s treasury FX portfolio by ensuring client retention and acquisition of new clientele.
COMPETENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Personable and confident with the ability to converse professionally with clients
- Possess resiliency to work in a challenging and changing, high- volume, fast-paced environment
- Excellent understanding of Financial Markets and other bank products.
- Be able to know and monitor the key economic indicators that will impact business and be in a position to explain that to customers.
- Ability to determine appropriate product/pricing strategies.
- Good judgment is required when dealing with clients in giving advice on market trends
- Good knowledge of operational and system user requirements for financial products
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- University degree
- ACI Dealing Certificate
- 5 years’ experience in Banking or related financial institution with at least 3 being in a sales or sales support role.
- A sound background and knowledge of banking with particular emphasis on Foreign exchange products and money market products.
- Relevant professional qualification in banking, finance or marketing
Senior Internal Audit Officer at NCBA Bank Rwanda: (Deadline 21 October 2020)
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
The purpose of the role is to plan and carry out specific audit exercises on the bank’s operations in an efficient, economical and effective manner in conjunction with the Head of Internal Audit, so as to ensure that the bank’s operations comply with the legal requirements and the agreed bank policies and procedures.
- Participate and contribute in the risk assessment process for target audit areas and documentation of results as guided by the Head of Internal Audit.
- Prepare audit plan for specific audit assignments and implement in consultation with the Head of Internal Audit, to ensure completion within the agreed schedule.
- Develop, in liaison with the Head of Internal Audit appropriate audit tests and programs aimed at achieving the desired objectives in areas auditable.
- Draft, in concurrence with the Head of Internal Audit, suitable management letters reporting on key control weaknesses, non-compliance with procedures and management policies and regulatory requirements, among others, on those areas audited.
COMPETENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Technical skills to effectively perform Internal Audit activities/tasks in a manner that consistently achieves established quality standards or benchmarks.
- Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with and manage expectations of auditees and other stakeholders who impact performance.
- Knowledge and effective application of all relevant banking policies, processes, procedures and guidelines to consistently achieve required compliance standards or benchmarks.
- Self-empowerment to enable the development of open communication, teamwork and trust that are needed to support true performance and customer-service oriented culture.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- University degree preferably in Accountancy, Finance or Business Administration.
- Qualified as CPA, ACCA or equivalent. Banking professional qualifications an advantage.
- Three years’ experience in internal audit or having been trained with a professional firm of practicing Accountants for at least two years.
