BACKGROUND
Good Neighbors International (GNI) is an international humanitarian and developmental organization in General Consultative Status with UN ECOSOCO operating in 40 countries around the world. GNI in Rwanda (a.k.a. GNR) has endeavored to improve child sponsorship and protection, health, education, WASH, agriculture & livelihood, humanitarian assistance, advocacy, and social economy in 4 districts (Gasabo, Kamony, Gisagara, and Nyamagabe) since 1994. We would like to recruit different staff with the following position:
3. Position: Operations Manager
Based in Kigali
Key responsibilities included;
To manage overall Education, WASH, Health and Advocacy programs
To supervise Program team (20-25 staff)
To have a deeper understanding of sectors in Education, WASH, Health, and Advocacy and to design and guide programs with other Operations Department team and target community people
To give proper feedback for protecting children from any harms through running project-based programs
To execute and submit regular reports including Monthly/Quarterly/Annual Operational Reports, any executions plans and official Project Proposal Form (PPF), Plan of Action (POA)
To check diverse programs in order to improve community people’s levels of understanding and participation for concepts of community development through supervising OD staff members and Project Field Coordinators
To monitor regular field visits and have meetings with beneficiaries and stakeholder in order for checking, reporting and submitting the procedure and progress of on-going projects to Directors
To monitor and report budget executions on relevant activities of Operations Department relevant activities
To monitor the working conditions of the Community Development Committee (CDC) and local authorities for self-reliance in Community Development Projects (CDP)
To facilitate CDC trainings and staff trainings for gaining better development skills and capacity building
To find new potential projects and support the TF team in needs of assessment
To support to write grant proposals including designated fund from GNI Global Partnership Alliance and any other donor organizations
Qualifications and skills;
The candidate must have at least a bachelor’s degree in Social sciences, development studies, development economics, rural development, and any other related field;
The candidate must have at least 7-8-year experience in a similar or related position;
Good computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and reporting skills a must;
High level of undeniable integrity at work and trust worth;
Proficiency in planning, time management and ability to work under a minimum of supervision
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal, supervisory and people management skills is required
Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines is required
Strong leadership skills with demonstrated competences in championing quality result oriented delivery as well as the management of people in a multicultural environment
Fluent in English and Kinyarwanda speaking is required. Other languages would be an added advantage

4. Position: Administration and Accounting Officer for New Social Enterprise (incubating)
Based in Kigali
Key Responsibilities
To assist General Manager for administration procedure
To organize and document all administrative and financial/accounting related documents in hard-copy and electronic forms
To guarantee a good budget safekeeping of the institution with transparency
To manage budget execution regularly and do a financial report
To operate Quick Books and send timely to GIF/GPC after approved by General Manager
To manage bank accounts for checks and e-financial transactions and record them on cash journal and Quick books
To evaluate and monitor monthly budget execution and financial report
To recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting options
To maintain financial security by following internal controls with confidentiality
To execute a budget in a transparent way
To keep the safety of office equipment and office materials
To prepare payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.
To Make the payroll list and maintain employee attendance records, prepare taxes related to salary and its declaration
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND KNOWLEDGE
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Accounting, Business Administration
Minimum of 3- 5 years working experience in the field of Finance/Accounts, preferably with Profit Organizations
Must able to use QuickBook and MS Excel & Word
Experience of working with multiple partners, financed by external donors
Proven experience of operating computerized accounting systems and coding systems.
Experience in accounting systems, strong working knowledge of Rwandese and International financial and accounting principles and relevant regulations on tax, VAT etc,
Manages resources and deadlines with minimum supervision
Proven, extensive experience in financial statement preparation and reporting
High level of numeracy, accuracy and analytical skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a culturally diverse organization
Excellent spoken and written English, Working knowledge of Kinyarwanda

1. Position: Health Project Senior Coordinator
Based in Huye
Key responsibilities included;
To lead a health project team for girls leading assessment, education and support service on SRH and GBV prevention
To train teachers to supervise and counsel girls’ clubs (Good Sister/ Girls Ambassador) in 15 schools in Gisagara and Nyamagabe District
To provide gender equality, SRH and GBE prevention for adolescents and youth in 15 schools in Gisagara and Nyamagabe District
To promote referrals to existing services of SRH & GVB in Mukindo and Mugomba Sectors in Gisagara District and Kamegeri and Gasaka Sector in Nysmagabe District.
To raise awareness via advocacy campaign at community, sector and district level to support SRH and GBV prevention for adolescents and youth in Mukindo and Mugomba Sectors in Gisagara District and Kamegeri and Gasaka Sector in Nysmagabe District.
To plan, implement and report the overall health project activities including budget execution
To report and submit regular activity reports to Operation Manager and Directors
To collaborate with other Health/WASH teams to continue community-based on-going WASH campaigns in 3 community development project sites.
To have regular field visit and have a meeting with beneficiaries and stakeholder in order for checking the procedure and progress of projects
To have a proper partnership with local government (officers), NGOs and other stakeholders
To work together with M&E staff for efficiency, effectiveness, and impacts
Qualifications and skills;
The candidate must be a bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Public Health, Environmental Health, and Water & Sanitation and etc.
Minimum of 5-6 years’ experience in the initiation, planning, and implementation of WASH projects according to internal and national guidelines.
Knowledge and experience of working with children and youths, schools, rural communities & local government authorities in a remote post-conflict setting
Understanding of the principles behind and experience in the implementation of WASH program, CHAST, PHAST amongst others.
Strong knowledge of potable water systems and technologies, various sanitation interventions, and community hygiene training.
Strong verbal and written skills in English and Kinyarwanda
