Building and Infrastructure Inspector at KIGALI CITY: (Deadline 22 March 2022)
– Conduct inspection of all buildings to check their compliance with master plan designs, construction permits, house occupation permits, zoning guidelines and any other applicable laws, policies and regulations regarding Building Construction;
– Conduct, in collaboration with Construction Permitting Officer, site visits prior to the issuance of land deeds, construction and house occupation permits and report to relevant officials and stakeholders any non-compliant structure and advise on necessary measures to take;
– Supervise the removal of illegal and non-compliant structures;
– Prepare and submit regular reports on inspected building and infrastructure and advise the management on the way forward;
– Oversee citizen participation in infrastructure development and management;
– Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor

Job description
– Implement the branding/publicity and communication plan of the City of Kigali in the district and produce periodical reports thereof;
– Liaise with concerned District Officials and staff to seek their perspectives or feedback on issues or enquiries submitted by clients of the district;
– Maintain and foster relations between the District and various stakeholders;
– Work hand in hand with the City of Kigali Communication & Community Education Division and Media to manage, update and disseminate information about the District;
– Manage events organized by the District and coordinate the production of related branding materials;
– Collect data, and carry out press review and keep informing to the authorities of the district and the City of Kigali Communication & Community Education Division regularly informed on the image of the District, and accordingly, advise on the management of the district image/reputation;

– Inspect public transport services,
– Participate in the planning design of public transport facilities,
– Analyse the treatment and respect of passengers’ rights, and inspect the adherence to the City of Kigali’s regulations and schedules regarding public transport;
– Investigate schedule delays and complaints, and cooperate with competent authorities during accident investigation in collaboration with RURA
– Determine needs for changes in service, such as additional vehicles, route changes, and revised schedules to improve service and efficiency in collaboration with RURA;
– Inspect and record time required to load and unload passengers or freight volume of traffic on vehicle and at stops in collaboration with RURA;
– Inspect the adherence to plans of public and private transport in the City of Kigali;
– To prepare weekly and monthly progress reports;
