Job Description
– Support the Information and Technology Expert in installing a Smart Agricultural Information System (SAIS) that integrates agricultural data management and analysis;
– Assist the Information and Technology Expert in installing a nationwide field data collection systems (e.g., gender disaggregated farmer register, livestock register, land profiles);
– Participate in the process of designing a common data warehouse platform ready for use, whereby existing data in MIS and ALIS I will be fully interfaced at least down to the level of all districts;
– Assist in interfacing with MIS and ALIS I the Farmer registration application and ALIS II with the common data warehouse platform whereby both farmer registration application and ALIS II, will hold data covering all districts;
– Assist in interfacing with MIS and ALIS I a livestock registration application (holding at least cow data with national coverage) with MIS, ALIS I and II;
– Put in the Agriculture sector the Performance Dash Board and make it publicly accessible online, whereby it provides reports on national agricultural macro indicators, national Indicator of Food Security and PSTA4 results indicators.
– Liaise with the MINAGRI Networking Administrator and MIS Officer to ensure the proper hosting and set up of the MINAGRI server;
– Re
– enter data in the new IT Systems and participate in the relevant end
– user training sessions to understand the user requirements and issues raised;
– Assist in implementing the strategy for deployment of the Information and Technology system and further training;
– Review the overall IT system set
– up and recommend improvements to increase the efficiency;
– Include calculated fields in some of the implementation progress data entry forms showing the cumulative progress of the previous reporting periods – as a reference to the users doing data entry. Train the MIS System Administrator on how to integrate these field;
– Prepare/update the MIS manual for different types of users;
– Upgrade /update the DHIS2 Framework;
– Update data in the MIS (Updated version), which will allow the implementation of the system at all levels and all types of users, supporting the reporting on indicators;
– Monitor the implementation of Smart Agricultural Information System in close contact with the users to provide technical support and ensure proper implementation of the system;
– Provide training to management and technical users of IT systems in the Ministry, RAB and NAEB;
– Compile different reports to be shared on the IT systems Dashboard;
– Prepare a monthly progress report (showing main consultations, activities, problems encountered, outputs achieved, and proposals) and prepare a final report;
Job Profile
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information and Communication Technology, Information Management System, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering with 3 years of working experience in the field of ICT or Master’s Degree in Computer Sciences, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information and Communication Technology, Information Management System, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering with 1 year of working experience in ICT.
Having certifications in A+, N+ is required; and certifications in CCNA, MCSE, MCSD, MCTs (NET), LAMP/WAMP framework or MCITP are an added advantage
Key technical skills & knowledge required:
– Knowledge of Strategies of National ICT Policy;
– Having basic information on Agriculture Sector;
– Deep understanding of information technology and telecommunications;

Job Description
• Prepare, plan and evaluate the capacity of the warehouse before the arrival of the foodstuffs;
• To determine and evaluate the needs for the warehouse;
• To supervise unloading and control the quality and quantity of the curved food products;
• To make sure that all the basic Principles of the basic principles of the inventory controls are respected;
• All the entries including the reconditioned food products must be recorded;
• To make sure that all the book of stock management are well filled out, brought up to date and well classified;
• To control regularly the state of the foodstuffs and to inform the supervisor of any anomalies observed;
• To make sure the damaged food products are separately stored to healthy food products;
• Follow and evaluate all activities in relation to the collection, the purchase of the foodstuff by the contractors contracting with the MINAGRI;
• To supervise and evaluate the activity of all the personnel of his supervision;
• To prepare the cards of payment for casual labor;
• To make all other activities asked to him by its superiors.
