Job description

Hub Management Function
• Support the Innovation Hub Manager on the day-to-day management and coordination of the Hub
• Participate in the creation and establishment of Hanga Hub FabLab and making sure it becomes operational
• Be responsible for day-to-day operations of the FabLab
• Ensure management of consumables, raw materials and spare parts including managing inventory of stock levels as well as supply of consumables, spare parts, and other tools
• Support the hub tenants in the discovery and use of machines and the integration of new technologies into their personal projects
• Enforce rules and procedures for the access and use of equipment, tools and machine and safety, as well as for the protection and safety of users.
• Ensure the safe and correct use of all Hub machinery including making sure that all hardware and machine are properly maintained
• Help establish the creation of a local community of Fablab and anchor it to the network of fablab ecosystem
• Must be stationed and live in any of the secondary cities where Hanga Hubs are located
Facilitator, Mentor and Coach Function:
• Organize the recruitment processes of innovators/startups to be enrolled in the Hanga Hub Model (Idiation, Pre-Incubation, Incubation)
• Assist innovators/start-ups to translate ideas into market-ready prototype by gathering requirement specification, setting the design and production specifications, testing the technical feasibility, estimating the cost to engineer the prototype
• Assist the innovators/startups to identify the key customer pain points and by using agile approaches, develop a realistic product development/improvement plan to move the product from a minimum viable product up to a market ready product

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Management

  • Proven experience with digital fabrication technologies including laser cutting, 3D printing, 3D Scanning, large-format and precision CNC milling, vinyl cutting, 3D CAD Software.

  • Fluency in 2D and 3D design software as well as graphic design programs
