The finance Officer will be mainly tasked to provide accurate financial information by preparing, recording and reconciling financial transactions data, to check and control financial process in line with financial policy and procedures and to make cash and bank payments for project activities.
He /She will be responsible for cash and bank payments in line with SC policies, ensures accuracy of completed monthly cash counts and cash reconciliations, completed payments and transfers to staff, suppliers and partners, and registers all approved payments, journal vouchers, deposit vouchers and returns using the SC financial software. she/He will work on VAT claim, Fuel report and posting partner reports.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor degree in accountancy/finance/management or Equivalent field.
- 2 years’ work experience, preferably in an NGO set up.

The Finance and Award manager will be responsible for the management of financial processes and per Save the Children and EAA standards. She/he will work with country office finance and award management team to provide financial data analysis to the SMT and meet Save the Children and EAA reporting requirements. S/he will also provide audit support and provide capacity building to partner finance staff as needed in terms of financial management, systems and procedures. She/he will also provide dedicated EAA compliance support and proactive compliance monitoring for risk assurance and capacity building (especially with regard to local sub grantees).
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in finance, business or management, or related degree in relevant field required, CPA or equivalent degree (CA, ACMA, ACCA) strongly recommended.
- Minimum of 5 years management experience in a corporate or an NGO environment within the finance department; knowledge of EAA financial management rules and regulations strongly preferred.
- Excellent understanding of business and financial planning including strategic modelling.
- Excellent analytical skills – the ability to analyse complex financial data and design and produce effective management information.

Qualifications and experience

The MEAL Officer will be responsible for the front-line overall support to Zero out-of-school children at primary school level project MEAL activities by ensuring effective implementation of the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning system of Save the Children Rwanda Country office. Other key areas include (a) supporting the project staff in the development and implementation of Save the Children’s Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) systems; (b) assisting in the collection, entry and compilation of program data and learning findings (work with project staff and MINEDUC to ensure that the school record properly the identified, enrolled and retained out of school children); (c) supporting Zero out-of-school children at primary school level programme team and partners by providing project-level technical assistance during the design and implementation of studies and evaluations; (d) supporting in the setting up and implementation of accountability to beneficiaries mechanisms, monitor programme quality, raise red flags and support programme learning while contributing to transparent and robust reporting..
Qualifications and experience

S/he will ensure that the information disseminated to partners is consistent, timely and accurate. S/he will also be a critical player in the development and roll-out of the project’s SBCC strategy.

About the Role:
Save the Children (SC) is the world’s largest independent child rights organization, underpinned by a vision of a world in which every child attains the right to survival, protection, development and participation. District Officer will be responsible for the delivery of project activities in the respective allocated district. He/She will report directly to District Coordinator. District Officer will be the first point of contact for schools and community representatives in the assigned district.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, or related discipline with at least 2 years of experience in technical and /or management roles on education improvement programs.
- Proven experience of at least 2 years in working with district and officials in improving Quality of Education in Basic Education.
- Proven experience in working with community members, schools, sectors and districts.
- Demonstrated experience in developing training materials and conducting trainings.
- Commitment to inclusive programming that encourages full participation of individuals regardless of gender, disability status or other marginalized status.
- Proven experience in working with all categories of children, girls and boys, children with and without disabilities and other children with different Special needs.
- Highly developed relationship building and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to liaise with a diverse range of people, stakeholders and beneficiaries.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Ikinyarwanda.
- Patient, adaptable, flexible, able to improvise and remain responsive and communicate clearly and effectively under pressure.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail, strong analytical, problem-solving, financial skills and public speaking skills.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Computer literate. (Ms Word, Excel, Power point, Internet Explorer)

About the Role:

The Driver will be responsible to use a project vehicle in taking staff to the field activities as well as transporting and distributing project materials to beneficiaries. He/she will ensure that the project vehicle is well maintained and serves only the purpose of project implementation.
Qualifications and experience
- Hold driving license, at least category B.
- Hold at least secondary education certificate (A2 level).
- Have at least 5 years of driving experience or 2 years of driving experience in international/local NGO.
- Able to work long hours.
- Experience in driving in remote areas.
- Experience in interacting with community members and children.
- Have basic knowledge in car mechanical.
- Computer Literate (capable to use E-mails, MS Words and Excel).
- Have basic skills in communicating in English.
