Danish Government 2023 Scholarships for Engineering International Students at University of Southern Denmark: (Deadline 1 February 2023)
The University of Southern Denmark offers the Danish Government Scholarship – supported by the Ministry of Higher Education and Science – to certain applicants in recognition of the important investment that overseas students make during their education.
About University of Southern Denmark
The University of Southern Denmark was established in 1998 through a merger involving Odense University, the Southern Denmark School of Business and Engineering and South Jutland University Centre. On 1 January 2006, Odense University College of Engineering was incorporated into the University of Southern Denmark, establishing the Faculty of Engineering. On 1 January 2007, the National Institute of Public Health (NIPH) and the Business School Centre in Slagelse were also incorporated into the University of Southern Denmark. NIPH retains its status as a national public health.

Aim and Benefits of Danish Government Scholarships
The scholarship consists of two parts: a full tuition fee waiver and a grant, to help cover living costs amounting to DKK 3000 per month before taxes.

Requirements for Danish Government Scholarships Qualification
To be eligible for the scholarship, you must be a non-EU/EEA citizen enrolling in one of the following Master’s programmes in Sønderborg with programme start in September:
- MSc in Engineering – Mechatronics – both profiles
- MSc in Engineering – Electronics (Sønderborg)
The scholarships will be awarded to the best qualified of the eligible applicants. All eligible applicants who are offered a study place will automatically be considered for the scholarship. No separate application is needed.
The Faculty of Engineering has the possibility to award highly qualified applicants to other programmes in Sønderborg for a scholarship as well.
Interview date, Process and Venue for Danish Government Scholarships
The scholarships are awarded to the best-qualified candidates based on the grade point average of their Bachelor’s degree.
To be considered for the scholarship all necessary documentation must be present on your application at the time of submission (1 February), to make sure that we can process your application.

- Official Bachelor’s transcripts and diploma in English, Danish, Swedish or Norwegian – must include grades and units/credits for each course
- Course descriptions for the courses on your transcripts
- Proof of English language proficiency
