1. WASCAL PhD Programme for West African Graduates in Climate Change and Land Use 2021

The Academic Scholars Award is one of the Harvard University scholarships for African students who wish to pursue their doctorate degree or post-doctoral degree.

The award is intended to induct applicants into the Academic Scholars, who are a community of select curious, resourceful, original individuals who are not afraid to take initiative and provide evidence of having a promising work as a foundation for exceptional careers in major universities or international institutions.

This grant is funded by Harvard University and selected applicants will undergo an in-residence, postdoctoral fellowship at the Harvard Academy for International and Area studies, Harvard University, Cambridge, MA for two years.

18. Government of Sweden Scholarships 2023 | Fully Funded

Funded by the Swedish government, the The Government of Sweden Scholarships 2023 is aimed at awarding 300 scholarships to international students hoping to study a full time master’s degree at various Swedish institutes.

This scholarship welcomes applicants from around the globe, regardless of their nationality, which makes it one of the Swedish scholarships for African students to utilise to further their education.

  • You are an international student outside EEA.
  • A minimum of 3,000 working hours for a full time or part time job.
  • Must be a citizen of an eligible country (African students are eligible for this scholarship)

19. Fully Funded University of Toronto Canada Scholarships for International Students

The Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship Program by the University or Toronto, funds and recognises international students who have attained exceptional academic achievement and creativity, and are being regarded as leaders within their schools.

The UBC Masters Scholarships in Canada for African Students is a partnership between the University of British Columbia and the Mastercard Foundation to award the Scholars Masters’ Degree Program to Sub-Saharan African students.
