NYU’s Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute Global Journalist Fellowship 2024: (Deadline 15 January, 2023)
This Fellowship provides support to international journalists of all identities and backgrounds who enroll in one of our graduate programs in journalism at NYU’s Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute. All of our programs are three semesters, except for Global and Joint Program Studies and Literary Reportage, which are both four semesters.

Aim and Benefits of Global Journalist Fellowship
- The 2024 Fellowship covers tuition expenses and registration fees for two of the three or four semesters of the program.
- The fellow will also receive a stipend of approximately $16,000 for each of the two semesters of the fellowship.
Requirements for Global Journalist Fellowship Qualification
Candidates must:
- Hold a non-U.S. passport
- Be fluent in English and at least one additional language
- Have significant journalism experience working for a news organization or independently in any medium (corporate communications, public relations, and Student publications do not qualify).
- Possess a four-year undergraduate degree or a three-year undergraduate degree plus one year of graduate work.
- Complete applications for both the fellowship and for admission to the M.A. program in Journalism
- The GRE exam is not required.
- TOEFL: take the TOEFL or IELTS. The TOEFL is waived only if English was an applicant’s language of instruction in his or her degree program.
