About the Role:
Transparency International Rwanda is looking for a skilled and enthusiastic communication Intern to join our team. The professional internship presents an exciting opportunity for individuals with passion in communication to acquire hands-on experience within a dynamic and collaborative environment.
The selected intern will play a pivotal role in supporting the execution of TI-Rwanda’s visibility initiatives, encompassing publications, media and outreach activities and reports design. Therefore, we are seeking an intern with proficiency in data visualization and graphic design and other related skills.

You will be supported to improve:
- Creation of digital content such as graphics, videos, presentations, reports, documentaries and communication material for internal and external audiences.
- Design the visualization of data from reports, research and co in a professional way.
- Record, create and edit videos for social media (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube).
- Search for stock images that fit a defined tonality and work with our target audiences.
- Now and then: Photograph activities and visual documentation.
- Create print designs (leaflets, folders, banners).
Your educational and/or past internship background:
- You have a Bachelor of Arts/Science in Design (e.g. graphic design, digital media, illustration and animation, UX design, software design or a comparable degree);
- Or you have completed a design related vocational training (e.g. A1 Diploma in multimedia or in filmmaking);
Your profile:
- Creative with design competencies and strong communication skills.
- Experience with typography, layout, imagery as well as photography and film.
- Adobe Creative Suite experience and other visual design programs (proficient in Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Premiere Pro).
- Ability to create various designs for official publications, communication campaigns, social media, cover pictures and thumbnails across a wide range of mediums.
… optional nice-to-haves:
- Illustration and animation skills.
- Or user experience design (UX) skills.
- Previous working experience in a similar field.
- Experience with Copywriting.

PS: For internship position, the intern benefits from internal knowledge transfer in the subject he/she is recruited for. Beyond this, TI-RW provides transport facilitation (60,000 RWF per month) and other field allowances should the activity is performed outside of Kigali according to TI-RW’s internal procedures.
