Aim and Benefits of Dylan Alcott Foundation Scholarship
The scholarship will cover tuition or student contribution costs up to a maximum of $10,000 per annum. Payments will not cover the cost of any prior study. A direct payment to recipients of $5,000 will also be made in the first semester of this scholarship.
Requirements for Dylan Alcott Foundation Scholarship Qualification
Applicants must:
- Be enrolled in an undergraduate degree at Flinders University; and
- Be 26 years of age or less at the time of application; and
- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or Australian permanent resident; and
- Be living with a disability as defined by the Disability Discrimination Act 1992; and
- Be registered with an access plan at Flinders University.

Selection Criteria
Selection will be made by Disability Services in conjunction with Student Finance and Scholarships on the basis of:
- Academic merit; and
- A written statement of the applicant’s long-term vision for how their education and experiences will enable them to make a lasting and meaningful impact in their community; and
- A written statement outlining the barriers the student is facing in their studies; and
- Referees’ reports highlighting the applicant’s academic achievements, potential, and suitability for the scholarship.
The preferred candidate/s will have their applications reviewed by the Dylan Alcott Foundation for endorsement.
