Hello everyone. Call for a fully funded Exchange Program in the USA. The applications are open to apply for the IREX Community Engagement Exchange (CEE) Program 2025 in the USA. This program is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State with the Funding provided by the U.S. government and implementation by IREX. The CEE Program is a global network of innovators that are working to address 21st-century issues. Participants will spend three months in the United States with all the expenses covered by the U.S. Government.

CEE is a type of Transformational Leadership Development Experience, a year-long program for Civil society leaders, ages 21-27, who make positive changes in their communities. It focuses on helping them work with others, build connections, and use information effectively to tackle important issues. In return, you will be provided with a Visa, Airfare, Monthly Allowance, and Health Insurance support. Below are more details about the Community Engagement Exchange (CEE) Program 2025.

Overview of the IREX CEE Program

This program is divided into four parts:

  • Three Months Practice in the United States: Participants will get a Practical section of a course of study, and will get hands-on experience.
  • Leadership and Civic Engagement Academy: CEE fellows will explore the program themes through an interactive curriculum from mentors, lectures, discussions, and a global network.
  • Community Engagement Project (CEP): CEE fellows will design and plan a community engagement project in their home country.
  • Community Engagement Project (CEP) Exchange: U.S. hosts and CEE specialists will travel to a CEE alumnus’ country to work and help alumni with their projects.

 

Financial Support and Benefits

  • J-1 visa support.
  • Round Trip Airfare from fellow home country to the U.S.
  • Monthly allowance to cover Housing, Meals, and living expenses while in the U.S.
  • Accident and sickness health benefits.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The age of the applicant should be in between 21-27 years.
  • University students can also apply to any field. The CEE Program does not have a formal education requirement.
  • Currently living and working in their home country at the time of application.
  • Minimum of two years of professional or volunteer experience, working on civil society issues.
  • Able to Travel to the United States in 2025.
  • Able to receive a U.S. J-1 Visa.
  • The Semi-Finalist will be required to take a Duolingo English language test.

 

Eligible Countries

Citizens of the following countries can apply for the Community Engagement Exchange (CEE) Program 2025:

Africa: Angola, Botswana, Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ghana, Guinea, Kenya, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

East Asia and the Pacific: Brunei, Burma, Cambodia, Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Republic of the Marshall Islands, Singapore, Solomon Islands, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Vanuatu, and Vietnam.

Europe and Eurasia: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Hungary, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Türkiye, and Ukraine.

Middle East and North Africa: Algeria, Egypt, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Syria, Tunisia, and Palestinian Territories

South and Central Asia: Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan

Western Hemisphere: Bolivia, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Trinidad and Tobago, and Venezuela.
