We are seeking to hire a Financial Accountant that will be based in Kigali at our Head Office.
Title: Financial Accountant
Report to: Group Finance Manager
Based at: Kigali
Purpose: Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, the Financial Accountant will provide assistance in the Finance Department in Preparation of full set of financial statements in accordance with IFRS and Generally Accepted Accounting Standards (GAAP).
Financial Accountant Duties & Responsibilities:
- Advises the Management on long term financial plans based on the analysis of the Company’s status and financial forecasts, taking into account economic and environmental changes and projections
- Provides executive management with accurate and comprehensive financial information to guide effective policy making and financial strategizing.
- Oversees all financial control activities, including the review and analysis of monthly and quarterly numbers and disclosures
- Implements and manages the Company’s annual budget and business planning process
- Collects, interprets and reviews financial information.
- Ensure that an organization meets the necessary tax, permit and licensing agreements.
- Analyses financial reports and interprets financial information for Management and Stakeholders, providing advice how the Company and future business decisions might be impacted and recommending further courses of action.
- Corresponds with other departments, discussing Company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken.
- Implements a cost management system and conducts reviews and evaluations to ensure the most cost-efficient work practices
- Ensure financial practices, monitoring and enforcing compliance with finance-related laws, procedures and regulations such as tax filing and financial reporting.
- Liaise with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of Company finances is maintained.
- Comply and ensure compliance with all Company Policies and Procedures.
- Must be able to work independently and achieve great results
- AOB as shall be assigned by the supervisor and management
Education:
- Bachelor degree in Accounting/Finance
- CPA/ACCA Intermediate or Advanced level
- 5 years’ experience in a similar role
