What is Transparency International School on Integrity?

Transparency International School on Integrity is an annual state-of-the-art anti-corruption and accountability training for future leaders. The School exposes its participants to the latest developments in the field of anti-corruption and accountability and offers real opportunities to try and implement their ideas in practice.

Since 2010, the Transparency International School on Integrity has hosted more than 1800 future leaders from more than 120 countries worldwide and has become the leading summer event on anti-corruption in the world. Over the past 15 years more than one hundred outstanding experts taught at the Transparency School in Vilnius. The School lecturers are anti-corruption and accountability leaders that come from public, private, NGO and academic sectors and offer the participants unique perspectives on how to address corruption and promote transparency.

In 2019, Transparency International Lithuania received the Amalia anti-corruption award for the impact of the Transparency School. Amalia Award recognizes and celebrates professional excellence and impact by anti-corruption fighters from within the Transparency International movement.  Please find more information here.

Venues

• Main Venue: National M. K. Čiurlionis School of Art in Vilnius. It is one of the largest music and fine art specialist school and the only professional ballet school in the Republic of Lithuania.
• Accommodation: The Dormitory of the National M. K. Čiurlionis School of Art.

Benefits

• After successful completion of the programme, 6 ECTS can be obtained.
• Following a rigorous selection process, students will attend interactive sessions and learn from leading anti-corruption and accountability professionals. Transparency School seeks to create a peer-to-peer learning and integrity-building environment that links theory with practice and helps young leaders to acquire skills to better convey the message of anti-corruption.
• The lectures, seminars, and trainings provide the School participants with a unique blend of international and local knowledge, while also challenging students to approach the subject from a new perspective and offer novel, previously untested solutions.

Who can apply?

• The Transparency School is open to senior students, graduates and young professionals. The average age of Transparency Schoolers in 2024 was 30.
• We welcome individuals from public, private, non-governmental and academic sectors, from all academic backgrounds.

Fees & Scholarships

• In-person participation 

The Transparency School 2025 tuition fee is 1200 Euros. It covers 5-day programme costs, 6 nights of accommodation (29 June – 5 July), 3 daily meals, internal transportation and organised social and networking activities.

• Distance learning option

Cannot join us in Vilnius this year? We have a distance learning option for you!  You can join our online stream programme and immerse yourself in a dynamic, interactive learning experience by following plenary sessions and participating in breakouts with lecturers and fellow online participants. The tuition fee of the distance learning option is 400 Euros.

• Financial support

Please note that in certain cases, we can offer partial or full tuition fee waivers to prospective participants in need of financial support. If you would like to receive financial support, please indicate which scheme you would like to apply for in the application form.

A limited number of scholarships provided by the partners of Transparency School 2025:

• The Open Government Partnership will cover four full scholarships including a tuition fee waiver and international travel (excl. visa and insurance costs) to nationals of Armenia, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.
• One exceptional young professional working in advancing access to information will be awarded the Helen Darbishire Scholarship, in honour and memory of Helen Darbishire, a world-renowned human rights activist, erstwhile lecturer at the School and OGP’s former Steering Committee member. All exceptional applications from Armenia, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine will automatically be considered for the OGP scholarships. Please explicitly indicate in your application if you would like to be considered for the Helen Darbishire Scholarship, detailing in your motivation letter how your (planned) work advances access to information in your environment.
• Nordic Council of Ministers scholarships cover full tuition fee waivers and travel grants to nationals of the Nordic countries, Latvia, Estonia and Ukraine.
• Taiwan Foundation for Democracy scholarships cover partial tuition fee waivers to the nationals of Taiwan and the broader East and Southeast Asia region.

• Please note that you will be asked to upload a short motivational letter along with your CV. We strongly advise that you prepare these in advance and have them ready before you start filling out your application form.

Cancellation policy. Please note that a refund will be offered to all cancellations made in writing ONLY until the date specified in the letter of acceptance. No refunds will be issued for registrations cancelled after that date. An administrative refund fee 100 EUR will be withheld.

The Transparency School 2025 welcomes applications from senior students, graduates, and young professionals from all countries and academic backgrounds around the world.

While the program is open globally, certain scholarship opportunities are available specifically for applicants from the following regions:

• Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine – Eligible for Open Government Partnership Scholarships and the Helen Darbishire Scholarship

• Nordic countries (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden), Latvia, Estonia, and Ukraine – Eligible for Nordic Council of Ministers Scholarships

• Taiwan and the broader East and Southeast Asia region – Eligible for Taiwan Foundation for Democracy Scholarships

Note: Applicants not eligible for regional scholarships are still encouraged to apply, as partial or full tuition fee waivers may be available on a need-based basis.
