MOFA Taiwan Fellowship 2026 | Fully Funded: (Deadline 30 June,2025)
The MOFA Taiwan Fellowship 2026 is now accepting applications from international scholars who are eager to pursue advanced research at some of Taiwan’s most prestigious academic institutions. Funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Taiwan, this highly regarded fellowship is designed for professors, postdoctoral researchers, and doctoral candidates whose academic work focuses on Taiwan, cross-strait relations, the Asia-Pacific region, or the field of Sinology. Open to scholars from around the globe, the fellowship provides full financial support and offers a unique opportunity to engage deeply with Taiwan’s vibrant academic community and rich cultural heritage. With flexible research durations ranging from 3 to 12 months, fellows are given the time and space to immerse themselves in meaningful scholarly inquiry while experiencing life in one of Asia’s most dynamic societies.

Financial Benefits of MOFA Taiwan Fellowship 2026
- Economy Class Airfare Ticket to/from Taiwan (Direct Route)
- Monthly grants are paid at the beginning of every month.
- Professors, Associate Professors, Research Fellows, or Associate Research Fellows: NT$60,000
- Assistant Professors, Assistant Research Fellows, or Doctoral Candidates: NT$50,000.
- Accident insurance (plus medical insurance for accidental injuries).
- The Fellowship is open to all Nationals.
- The Taiwan MOFA Fellowship accepts Associate Professors, Research Fellows, Associate Research Fellows, Assistant Professors, Assistant Research Fellows, and Doctoral Candidates.
- The research must be related to Taiwan, cross-strait relations, the Asia-Pacific region, and Sinology.

- Research proposal (3 pages with a standard research format)
- Resume (including a list of publications)
- 2 Letters of Recommendation (Or one recommendation letter and one letter of consent from the chief administrator of your institute).
