Job Description

1. Receive mother in the appropriate place with empathy;
2. Assess and evaluate individual health conditions of the mother;
3. Care mother in case of emergency and carry out screening tests;
4. Collaborate with physician to develop plan of care;
5. Identify and educate the women on the signs which indicate the progress of labour;
6. Provide information about pain relief, birth positions and delivery options to facilitate informed choices;
7. Assess foetal and maternal well
– being in all stages of labour;
8. Identifies the signs and symptoms of complicated labour and post
– partum complication;
9. Ensure the safety of both mother and newborn during and after childbirth;
10. Help parents to cope with miscarriage, termination of pregnancy, stillbirth;
11. Provide psychosocial support and reassurance to the couple and their relatives;
12. Collaborate with physician for the follow
– up of the mother;
13. Document all activities carried out in mothers file;
14. Educates the woman about discomforts of the puerperium and advises on strategies to relieve them;
15. Handover, evaluate the condition of the patients in collaboration with anesthesia team;
16. Transport any specimens that require diagnostic testing to the laboratory facilities.

 

 

 

Job Profile

Job Profile: A1 in Midwifery. The successfully candidates must possess a valid license and certificate of registration delivered by National Council of Nurses and Midwives.

– Infection Prevention and Control Knowledge;

– Nutrition Management Knowledge;

1. Assess patient’s general health status;
2. Prepare a nursing care plan according to the needs and area of work with the help of other healthcare and professionals;
3. Document and communicate actions to maintain continuity among the nursing team;
4. Assume and maintain patient and his environment hygiene and infection control;
5. Monitor record and report vital signs, symptoms and changes in patients’ conditions and signs within your full name;
6. Acts as liaison between the patient and other hospital personnel;
7. Deliver detailed instructions and information to patients/family in collaboration with physician;
8. Educate patient and his family their roles of promoting successful therapy and rehabilitation;
9. Administer and document medications as prescribed, within hesitation collaborate with prescriber physicians and sign;
10. Take care of all materials and equipment at disposal to the service;
11. Engage in research activities related to nursing and mentor nurse students in the clinical practice;
12. Deliver detailed nursing instruction s to patients for discharge.
