Scholarships are available each year for fee-paying international students applying for an international Master’s programme at Uppsala University. Please note that the scholarships are highly competitive; only about 2% of those who apply are granted a scholarship.

About Uppsala University

The initiative in this matter came from the Primate of the Catholic Church of Sweden, Archbishop Jakob Ulvsson of Uppsala. The new University was small, having at most 50 students and a handful of professors.

The scholarships will cover the full cost of tuition fees for studies at Uppsala University. It is for degree programmes that start on 28 August 2024 and are offered during the current admission round. The scholarships do not cover living expenses.

Requirements for Anders Wall’s Scholarship For Studies At Uppsala University Qualification

• You must be a citizen of Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, Tunisia and Uganda.
• You must demonstrate academic talent and show interest in being in an educational environment.
• You can only be awarded an Anders Wall Scholarship for a degree programme at Uppsala University chosen as first priority (the programme which you have ranked the highest of the programmes you can choose at University Admissions).
• You must have applied for the Bachelor’s or Master’s programme before the University Admissions deadline.
• You must meet the entry requirements for the programme you applied to. The application fee and your complete supporting documents must be received by University Admissions before the deadline.

How to Apply

In order to be considered for a scholarship, you must first submit an application for a Bachelor’s or Master’s programme at Uppsala University at www.universityadmissions.se between 17 October 2022 and 16 January 2023. Uppsala University’s programme must be ranked as your first priority of choice. The scholarship application period starts after this step. Read more about how to rank your selections.

The application period for scholarships provided by Uppsala University for prospective students is from 17 January to 1 February 2023. Therefore, the link to the online scholarship application form will be found on 17 January 2023.

However, application for admission is open. You must have applied and received admission to get this scholarship so apply today.

• No extra documents need to be sent. We will use documentation you submit with your programme application on www.universityadmissions.se.
• Your application ID from www.universityadmissions.se must be noted on the scholarship application form.
