Call for application for PHD positions and scholarships in atmospheric and climate science, astrophysics and space physics: (Deadline 26 March 2021)
The University of Rwanda (UR) through Rwanda Astrophysics, Space and Climate Science Research Group (RASCSRG) is pleased to invite interested and qualified candidates to apply for 3 available PhD by research scholarships. The scholarships are in the following areas :
(1) Atmospheric and Climate Science, (2) Astrophysics, and (3) Space Physics
Successful candidates will register as full-time PhD students at the University of Rwanda- College of Science and Technology (UR-CST) for a period of minimum of three years (six semesters) and maximum of four years (eight semesters) starting in April 2021.

III. Entry requirements
1. Master’s degree with distinction from a reputed University in one of the following subjects : Physics, Atmospheric Physics, Climate sciences, Meteorology, Astrophysics, Cosmology and Space physics.
2. At least one paper (publication) in international peer reviewed journal.
3. Being Rwandan citizens.
4. Age limit : Male candidates must be less than 40 years and 45 for Female (Reference : as
per UR Policy and Procedures for Scholarships Awards-Oct. 2020).
NB :
1. UR academic staff, female candidates and applicants with disabilities are encouraged to
apply.
2. Degree obtained outside Rwanda should obtain equivalence in respect to the Rwanda National Qualification Framework.
