Child Adoption and Orphans Specialist at MIGEPROF: (Deadline 29 July 2022)
Job description
1° Oversee the preparation, implementation, revision and dissemination of policy and legal framework governing adoption,
2° Initiate the child’s adoption documentation system and record keeping (birth certificate, notary act, police report, medical report, family report, consents, report from orphanage, death certificate, act of abandonment),
3° Establish counseling programs for the involved parties in the Child adoption process
4° Liaise and collaborate with various stakeholders
5° Analyze adoption applications/requests and send letter of non-objection (verification of documents about PAPs: complete, authentic, acceptable),
6° Coordinate matching events, ensure close follow up suitability of PAP for child
7° Coordinate the capacity building and strengthening of the local leaders on policies, legal frameworks governing adoption,
8° Compile, analyze and keep the post placement reports,
9° Approve certificate of adoption/travel release,
10° Manage the post adoption reporting system
11. Lead the implementation of the 1993 Hague Adoption Convention on Protection of Children and Cooperation in Respect of Intercountry Adoption,
