The office of Gatsibo Waregem Twinning Committee is looking for high caliber candidate for the position of Communication Officer between Gatsibo and Waregem Twinning committee.
Reports to: Gatsibo District and Gatsibo Waregem Twinning Committee
Location: Gatsibo District
Overall Responsibilities
The responsible for communication and field supervising will provides assistance to the Gatsibo-Waregem twinning in planning, implementing, coordinating and monitoring of project activities financed by Waregem City and ensure timely reporting and communication between all partners of Gatsibo and Waregem.
Specific responsibilities
- Act as the point of contact and communicate project information to all partners on a daily basis
- Distribute weekly reports to the spokesperson of Waregem
- Produce and submit required reports of all meetings and follow-up visits to the spokesperson of Waregem and project partners
- Assist in the management of partnerships between Gatsibo District and Waregem City
- Participate in planning, monitoring and evaluation of development programs financed by Waregem
- Oversee the overall implementation of the designated project in accordance with the project proposal ensuring objectives are met within the required time frame and budget
- Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise
- Work on the visibility of all the actions within the project through social media platforms, website, posters, flyers, billboards, reports, speeches and any other communication medium to implement effective visibility
- Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the project, invoicing, and other transactions
- Producing financial reports related to budgets and expenses
- Receiving delegations from Waregem and organize their stay
- Any other activity as assigned by higher authority
Key skills and Knowledge required:
- Experience in project coordination
- Experience in an office administrative role, with excellent planning, organizational, budgeting skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Fluent in Kinyarwanda and English
- Being a Rwandan by Nationality and having permit conduct (Category1)
Qualifications
Having a degree in Communication and public relations, Development Studies, Management, Marketing, Accounting, Business Administration or Public Administration.
Required: Minimum of 1 Year of experience in the above-mentioned fields.
NB:1.This staff should be able to live in Gatsibo District, preferably near Ngarama or Kiziguro
2.This post will run for a period of one year renewable
