Job Purpose
The Electrical Workshop Technician reports to the Electrical Workshop Supervisor and is responsible for the conduct of electrical/ electronic workshop maintenance tasks. The Electrical Workshop Technician is responsible for ensuring maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with the OEM, workshop procedures and RCAA regulations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conducting maintenance tasks and ensuring that maintenance is conducted in accordance with referenced approved technical data;
- Accomplishing allocated maintenance tasks;
- Utilizing appropriate equipment, tools and technical data required for the conduct of maintenance tasks;
- Preparing strip-down reports for components forwarded to workshops for repair;
- Reporting safety hazards and occurrences;
- Participate in audits conducted by internal and external parties;
- Recording of all maintenance conducted on appropriate checklists and forms before the components are released to service;
- Ensuring a clean and orderly work environment;
- Providing appropriate release to service after accomplishment of workshop maintenance.
Desired Profile: Required education, Experience, and Abilities
- Have experience in any electrical/ electronic workshop facilities
- Have at least one of the following qualifications:
- Have completed an apprenticeship or On the Job Training program
- Have an engineering degree or diploma in any of the following disciplines: Electrical engineering, Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering, Mechatronics technology, Electro-Mechanical engineering
- Have the following knowledge:
- Procedures related to workshop maintenance;
- Computer and system analytical skills.
