We’re at the forefront of a revolution, designing, manufacturing, and operating our own fleet of drones to provide instant access to those who were previously underserved.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a flight Operator intern you will play an active role in the team and support in all aspects of operations including launching, recovering of the zips. You will get involved in the maintenance of the equipment at the distribution center.
WITHIN 2 WEEKS: You will receive an elite training of all our operations including professional courses and apprenticeship. At the end of the two weeks you will become a certified Flight Operator – Being able to handle Pre-flight, Post-flight, Launching Zips, and incident response alone, and have a thorough understanding of Zip hardware.
WITHIN 6 WEEKS: You will be assigned a project to work on related to your area of interest and receive the guidance and support of a mentor throughout the whole duration of the project.
Responsibilities
Take Off: Conduct pre-flight inspection with zips, launch and recover zips
Maintenance: Collaborate with locally-based and USA-based engineering team to maintain equipment at the site & optimize issues
Continuous Improvement: Provide suggestions for improvement of our operations
Collaboration: Work with the team to implement changes to allow us to scale to more than 100 deliveries per day
Requirements
Must be working towards a bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field
Must be process & detail oriented
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple tasks
You are able to work both collaboratively with others and independently
You are legally authorized to work in Rwanda
Example projects included
Creating standard operating procedures for managing tools
Own automating the lights and fences at the distribution center
Support in the design and implementation of the generator auto fueling system
Design and build a generator fuel level indicator
