Ngali Mining Limited (NML) is a Private Limited Company registered in November 2015 under the Rwandan law, fully owned by NGALI Holdings and the latter being a public-owned enterprise. NML was created for investment purpose and improving the Mining service delivery basing on best practices internationally accepted. NML is currently undertaking mining activities in its gold and gemstone concessions, offers geotechnical services to both private and public entities, and value addition for gemstones and trading of jewelleries.

Job Title: Jewelry Craftsman (Specializing in Metals craftworks)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Jewelry Craftsman specializing in metals craftworks to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, exceptional craftsmanship, and a passion for working with precious materials to produce exquisite jewelry designs. The Jewelry Craftsman will be responsible for crafting unique and high-quality jewelry pieces that meet the specifications and expectations of our discerning clientele.

Responsibilities:

• Design and create sophisticated jewelry pieces, with a focus on incorporating gemstones into intricate designs.
• Select high-quality gemstones, considering factors such as color, clarity, and cut to ensure the client’s expectations and the beauty of the final product are met.
• Use a variety of techniques and tools, including cutting, shaping, setting, and polishing, to transform raw materials into finished jewelry pieces.
• Ensure that all jewelry pieces meet established quality standards and adhere to design specifications, paying close attention to detail and precision.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including proper storage and handling of materials and tools, to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
• Stay informed about current trends, techniques, and developments in the jewelry industry, continuously seeking opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Provide guidance and support to junior craftspeople or apprentices, sharing expertise and helping them develop their jewelry-making skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Proven experience of 10 years as a Jewelry Craftsman, with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in creating sophisticated jewelry pieces using gemstones.
• Having experience in working in different countries with a good track in the jewelry business
• Extensive knowledge of gemstones, including identification, grading, and selection, with a focus on utilizing gemstones to enhance jewelry designs.
• Proficiency in of various jewelry-making techniques, such as stone setting, metalworking, engraving, and polishing, with a demonstrated ability to produce high-quality craftsmanship.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and attention to detail, essential for working with small, delicate materials and intricate designs.
• Strong creative vision and design skills, with the ability to interpret client preferences and conceptualize unique and aesthetically pleasing jewelry pieces.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with designers, clients, and other team members to bring jewelry concepts to fruition.
• Commitment to craftsmanship and quality, with a passion for creating beautiful and timeless jewelry pieces that exceed expectations.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines while maintaining high standards of workmanship.

Any qualification in jewelry design is an added value.
