Job Summary

 

ERP Functional Lead is a newly created role in Bank of Kigali under the Aheza Transformation Program. This is an opportunity for a highly capable and experienced leader to help elevate and transform our capacity for managing our financials, administration/Procurement and human resources operations. The Functional Lead will be given the opportunity to lead us through an assessment, selection and implementation process for a new ERP solution, and manage its continuing evolution beyond the initial implementation..

 

This position offers the right candidate a visible role in a long-established and highly respected Bank in Rwanda. It is based in Rwanda and requires minimal travel.

 

The functional Lead will participate assessing the existing environment of financial, administration and HR applications while leading the organization in the selection and implementation of a robust, highly integrated solution. Though it is a highly technical role, it is one that requires the candidate to demonstrate the ability to partner with the business and IT leadership to understand the organization’s business requirements and to build and execute a roadmap to fulfill the same.

 

 

Key Accountabilities

 

Identify, select, and lead the implementation of a new ERP platform with preference for cloud solutions
Create and execute a roadmap for project deliverables based on requirements and collaboration with organizational constituencies
Building an in-depth knowledge of business success drivers, industry trends, regulatory issues and the competitive marketplace to deliver solutions which will have a measurable impact on service delivery
Oversee definition of business requirements, business process mappings, benefit analysis, etc…
Leads analysis, design, modeling, testing, and implementation activities within the areas of responsibilities;
Manage relationships with ERP vendors, including vendor evaluations, risk assessments, and ongoing strategic relationships

Lead a cross-functional team and all outside consultants as needed in the planning, development, and ongoing maintenance of the ERP
Collaborate with IT and business leadership to prioritize IT changes and projects
Work closely with IT and business leadership in determining and implementing standards for reporting, analytics, data security, compliance, and user training and support
Oversee and manage internal and external systems/applications/process development projects from inception through successful implementation to insure timely, effective completion and compliance
Responsible for all aspects of ERP system adoption, change management, and training

 

 

 

Experience

 

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or Financial Technology Minimum of 5 to 10 years’ experience in implementing and supporting ERP applications
Experience with cloud-based ERP solutions
Solid understanding of architecture with specific hands-on experience with ERP applications;
Strong knowledge and understanding of functional and business integration processes
Demonstrated expertise in leading ERP migration projects; examples of successful projects
should be included in application materials
Minimum 2 years’ experience using Agile or similar principals to translate business needs and deliver products of measurable value
Good knowledge of MS Office package (Word, Excel, Power Point, Project, Visio)
Concepts for Integration (i.e. Integration of data or user accounts between multiple systems for a client.)
Role of an ESB for event driven messaging and orchestration
Experience in the design and implementation of multi-layer interface
Experience in DevOps (CI/CD) and Agile methodologies and tools – e.g. JIRA, Jenkins, GIT, Maven or any other automated testing tools is an added Advantage

 

Qualifications

 

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or Financial Technology with a minimum of 5 years of experience in software development including T24 implementation experience in a banking environment
Knowledge
You have Industry experience, Banking, Retail, Insurance etc
You have an ERP Certification in any of the top ERP providers
You’ve got external consulting experience
You’re an ace at managing and delivering projects
You’re great at working creatively in a problem-solving environment
