Job Description

1. Supervising and performing technical reviews;
2. Quality planning, development of criteria for evaluation services;
3. Ensure the maintenance and revision of data related to QA & Accreditation;
4. Monitoring and supporting Quality Improvement activities
5. Co
– coordinating all Quality Assurance and Accreditation activities;
6. Identifying Quality Assurance activities to mitigate projects risks;
7. Progressing Quality Assurance surveillance plan and agree to change;
8. Making recommendations regarding the project’s documented QA strategy;
9. Establishing a communication strategy for QA issues;
10. Updating members on projects issues;
11. Reviewing and evaluating all corrective actions;
12. Maintaining records of proceedings and actions;
13. Assure that Departmental have ongoing quality assurance projects;
14. Assist and follow departments in the development and Implementation of Quality Improvement plans;
15. Monitor and measure results from those projects;
16. Follow the implementation of P&P day to day;
17. Review and call for update policies and procedures;
18. Make quality improvement projects about the implementation of P&P;
19. Reviewing and evaluating all corrective actions in collaboration with Quality Assurance team;
20. Support and facilitate hospital
– wide Infection Prevention & Control committee(s) In collaboration with the IPC Committee(s);
21. Assess current state of infection prevention & control relative to standards;
22. Develop and implement plan to meet IPC standards;
23. Coordinate the development of hospital
– wide policies and procedures for IPC;
24. Measure and analyze hospital
– wide and department
– specific IPC data and develop/implement action plans for improvement;
25. Conduct ongoing audits of IPC practice and use results to inform quality improvement initiatives;
26. Develop and implement quality improvement efforts to improve IPC;
27. Support and facilitate hospital
– wide risk management
– related committees;
28. In collaboration with risk management
– related committee(s);
29. Assess current state of risk management relative to standards;
30. Develop and implement plan to meet risk management standards;
31. Coordinate the development and implementation of hospital
– wide policies and procedures for risk management;
32. Measure and analyze hospital
– wide and department
– specific risk management data;
33. Conduct ongoing audits of risk management areas. Use results to inform quality improvement initiatives;
34. Develop and implement quality improvement efforts to reduce risk;
35. Perform other quality improvement initiatives, as assigned;
36. Submit monthly, quarterly and annually report to the supervisor;
37. Perform other related duties as required

Job Profile
“A0 in General Nursing

Key Technical Skills & Knowledge required:

– Office Management Skills;

– Excellent Communication, Organizational, Interpersonal Skills;

– Computer knowledge (Work Processing, Power Point and Internet)

– Analytical and problem solving skills;

– Time management skills;

– Fluent in Kinyarwanda, English and/ or French; knowledge of all is an advantage

– knowledge of Rwandan accrediation standards and their implementation

– Knowledge on other Quality improvement strategies”
