Job Description
1. Developing/reviewing policies and strategies related to Legal Metrology Unit
– Supervise the implementation of developed Legal Metrology Laws, regulations and Policies
– Supervise the implementation of developed Strategies
– Ensure the implementation of strategic programs, goals and targets for business continuity in the unit
2. Coordination, development and Implementation of unit Activities
– Ensure the unit action plan is in place
– Ensure the implementation of unit action plan
– Check Verification and Pre
– packaging control Certificates and Reports
– Prepare budget plan of the unit
– Approve unit reports and requests
3. Coordination of National, regional and international activities related to the Unit
– Ensure the planning and participation in workshops, conferences, symposium, seminars and trainings.
– Ensure the participation of unit staff in Technical committees
– Ensuring the participation in regional and international Legal Metrology activities.
4. Coordination of unit Quality Management System
– Supervise the development and review of quality documents on unit level.
– Approve developed and reviewed quality documents in the unit.
– Ensure the implementation of internal audit the program of the maintenance of Quality Management system
– Identify the gap for trainings needs in the unit.
5. Monitoring and Evaluation
– Supervise and evaluate the unit staff
Job Profile
A0 in Engineering (Civil, mechanical, electronics, Electrical) Physics or Mathematics with 3 years of working
experience or Master in Engineering(Civil, mechanical, mechanical, electronics, Electrical) with 1 year of
working experience
Key Technical Skills & Knowledge required:
– Knowledge on Metrology standards and regulations;
– Knowledge on Automated Calibration Software Platforms
– Knowledge of performance audits on metrology and quality processes;
– Knowledge to prepare laboratory documentation (calibration procedures, analysis
spreadsheets, reference documents, and others) in a variety of formats including Word, Excel
and Power Point;
– Familiarity with various measurement units (meters, kilograms, seconds, amperes, etc.)
– Must be able to demonstrate good calibration/metrology
– based evaluations
– Knowledge of ISO17025, ISO9001, ANSI/NCSL Z540.1;
– Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 Standards
– Knowledge of calibration standards and IM&TE;
– Computer Skills;
– High Organizational Skills;
– Leadership Skills
– Excellent Communication Skills & Team working Skills;
– High analytical Skills;
– Time management Skills;
