SC Rwanda Country Office seeks to hire qualified, committed and experienced National to fill the following position:
Position: O level Kinyarwanda Teacher

Tentative start date: ASAP
Budget responsibility: Preparing and submitting the list of needed materials to Education Assistant for procurement request and provision of needed materials on a timely basis.
Level 3 – the responsibilities of the post may require the post holder to have regular contact with or access to children or young people
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
To ensure an effective management of the organization fleet and meeting all transportation requirements of the Programme.
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
- Active participation in community mobilization to raise awareness for Out of School Children and Youth to go to school;
- Planning and conducting Kinyarwanda lessons
- Teach Kinyarwanda subject for students preparing to be reintegrated to Secondary, Ordinary level (formal education);
- Facilitate for reintegration of children to formal Education, follow up and provide constant advice for supporting those children to stay at school;
- Prepare well their lessons and other pedagogical documents on a daily basis; Attendance tracking for students, provision of appropriate reports and supports for students with problems;
- Attending teachers meeting and workshops;
- Constant consultation of books and other education resources in the library to be able to provide quality education to students participating in catch up program;
- Work in accordance with planned curriculum;
- Work collaboratively with all Save the children Staff
- Participate in all meetings and planning of weekly activities with Education staff;
Assist the Education Assistant in implementing Education activities
Responsible for preparing all pedagogical documents and submit them to Education Assistant for Review.
Provide technical guidance and support to students participating in his/her classes
Programme Planning and Implementation:
- Under support of Education assistant, develop ways to better monitor teaching and learning activities and quality reporting on a regular basis
- Participate and support staff and other stakeholders where necessary
- Work closely with Education Officer and Education Assistant in analysing Education issues and complaints raised by children and Youth participating in Alternative and Accelerated Learning Program as well as their parents and other people from the community and support in providing appropriate feedback.
- Actively, Participate in all staff meetings and provide necessary opinions for any improvement that can be done for Catch up program
Capacity Building and Program quality:
- Work closely with Education Assistant and other teachers to ensure that Alternative and Accelerated Learning Program meet quality benchmarks, and work with the partner staff to achieve quality programming in Education
- Help strengthen Education System and accountability by supporting systems to seek, receive, and respond to beneficiaries’ feedback, suggestions, and complaints.
Collaboration and Representation:
- Regularly work in collaboration with other SC sector teams to strengthen programming and impact for children.
- Regularly attend and participate in different meetings with community leaders, parents or any other meeting related to Alternative and Accelerated Learning Program.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Diploma (A1) in teaching Kinyarwanda
- At least 1 years’ experience in teaching
- Good technical understanding of Education approaches
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrate interest and experience in working with vulnerable people
- Knowledge of English language skills is an advantage;
- The ability to communicate professionally and appropriately with children and young people, parents and community members
