Marketing, LM & E Officer

Urwego Bank wishes to recruit 1 qualified, competent and proactive Marketing, LM & E Officer who will promote and fulfill the mission of Urwego Bank.

 

Job Title: Marketing, LM & E Officer

 

Department: Marketing, Listening Monitoring & Evaluation

 

Reporting to: Customer Engagement & Project Manager

 

Directly supervises: None

 

Location: Kigali, Rwanda

 

JOB SUMMARY.

 

The Marketing/L, M&E officer is responsible for developing and implement marketing principles, project management, oversee contractors and all Listening, Monitoring &Evaluation activities to name a few. Daily responsibilities include content creation, strategy, brand awareness development, and survey handling and managing. The perfect candidate will love the news business; have experience in public relations, marketing, design, branding and data management.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Promote and fulfill Urwego Bank’s 3Ms as listed above while working within a Christ-centered environment that is mission-driven, community-oriented and results-driven.

Spiritual Integration and Christian Witness

1. Ensure a personal, healthy spiritual balance within family, work, and church life through the adoption of biblical personal and spiritual disciplines; and

2. Conduct daily work, make decisions and help Urwego Bank make decisions in a way that witnesses to the presence, power, and love of Jesus and the reality of his Kingdom on earth.

Essential duties and accountability: The officer will be reporting to the Customer Engagement and Project Manager who oversees marketing/L, M&E departments and projects; the responsibility will include:

 

1. Marketing

 

Monitor and respond timely to inquiries from our social media
Manage and update Facebook pages, Twitter and Instagram.
Track and analyze website and social media performance

2. Campaign and advertising

 

Work closely with heads of departments in event-related to campaign
Develop corroboration with all branches to understand their marketing and advertising need and maintaining a strong relationship with them
Work closely with branch manager to respond to their branding and adverting needs
Acting as liaison with branches to come up with appropriate promotions campaigns, including coordinating logistics of materials wanted for the campaigns
Other administrative tasks related to marketing department plus other duty consigned by your direct supervisor.
3. Listening, Monitoring and Evaluation (L, M&E)

Handle all L, M&E data (This includes gathering data, data entry, data cleaning, and data analysis) data to be gathered across Urwego Bank territories.
The Analyst will be expected to generate reports showing the results of the data collected. These reports are expected to include graphs/charts and interpretation for the graphs as per the format to be shared by the supervisor
Do quality control of the data being collected to ensure minimal or no errors
Manage the data collection process and ensure data is being collected at the right time and from the right people

 

 

 

4. Knowledge and skills.

 

Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of marketing, and Listening, Monitoring &Evaluation
Excellent in English and Kinyarwanda writing and spoken skills
Is a Team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide clients, (i.e.: content development, creation and editing of content, and online reputation management)
Maintains a working knowledge of marketing principles including keyword research
Highly organized, attention to detail; be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

 

5. Competencies:

 

Achievement Orientation: Be able to follow up bank targets and achieve them.
Critical judgment/ decision making- Define issues and focus on achieving workable solutions even if in difficult situations.
Good Communication- Communicates well; excellent communication in writing is a must to effectively convey and share information with the customers and colleagues.
Organization: Set priorities, develop a work schedule, and monitor progress towards goals and track details/data through Wrike (a project management system).
Behave ethically: Be able to understand ethical behavior and business practices and ensure our own behavior is consistent with these standards and aligns with the value of the bank.
Inspire Commitment: Live out the Urwego corporate values and Christian motivation. Walk the talk

 

6. Qualifications

 

Minimum Education and Experience

 

Bachelor’s degree
A minimum of 2-3 years marketing & monitoring and evaluation experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram.
Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, Google Analytics, Content Management Programs, and Email would be added value.
Successful with outlining, managing and performing in a multi-tasking environment
Work creatively with limited resources
Experience with tight deadlines for managing projects
Creative problem solving
Team-oriented with a positive attitude
Excellent English verbal and written skills
Ability to build strong relationships with outside partners and possess strong negotiating skills
Demonstrated sound organizational and coordination skills
Proven job reliability, diligence, dedication, and attention to detail.
