AB BANK Rwanda Plc. is looking for qualified and competent staff to fill the position of Information Security officer.

Information Security officer is responsible to Bring the institution’s information security risks under explicit management control through the establishment and implementation of the Information Security Management System (ISMS).

The ISO will investigate alerts, assisting with developing new security monitoring, use cases and ensuring all investigative activities are properly documented in the bank’s systems and followed up with relevant support teams. The ISO reports directly to AB Information Security Committee & AH Information Security Manager

 

 

 

 

Major Responsibilities

 

 

Leading of project ISMS implementation performing tasks as specified in the project plan within the given time- and budget limits;
Leading of formal approval process (within AB Bank Information Security Committee) and functional approval process (within AB ISMS Steering Committee) for Information Security Policies;
Leading of implementation of Information Security Management System in AB Bank based on model processes and artifacts developed by Access Holding Information Security Department;
Day-to-day implementation of information security policies;
Act as the committed owner of the security incident and vulnerability management processes from design to implementation and beyond
Leading technical implementation based on tools (e.g. Inventory of Assets, Access Control Matrix,..) ensuring that suitable technical, physical and procedural controls are in place in accordance with the policies, and are properly applied and used by all employees and contractors;
Specification of prevailing gaps in the systems;
Provision of direction, resources, support, and review necessary to ensure that information asset are appropriately protected;
Proposal of corrective and preventive measures if applicable;
Submission of periodic reports on implementation status, Key Risk Indicators (KRI) and Incident Management related to information security to AB Bank Information Security Committee and Access Holding Information Security Manager;
Leading of training and awareness raising sessions on information security for AB Bank personnel

Necessary Experience, Skills, and qualifications:

 

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/ Computer Science or related field
2- 3 years of full-time work experience in Information Security or related field preferably in banking or financial services, Telecom or any related field.
Good knowledge of information security management or related functions (such as IT audit or IT Risk Management), will be an added advantage.
A good understanding of technical IT roles such as IT architecture, development or operations, with a clear and abiding interest in information security and or system controls;
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and motivate others to do the same
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) is an independent information security certification governed by the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium
Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) is a certification for information security managers awarded by ISACA
ISACA Certified Information Systems Auditor
Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC)
CEC (Certified Ethical Hacker) will be added advantage.

AB BANK Rwanda Plc. is looking for qualified and competent staff to fill the position of Head of Risk. Head of Risk is responsible for the risk management function of the Bank. S/he is responsible for the development of the risk management framework of the Bank, including adequate credit, operational, and financial/market/counterparty risk policies, procedures and tools, thus ensuring the Bank is in full compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies and procedures to effectively identify, mitigate and monitor principal risks for the Bank. The Head of Risk reports directly to the Board Risk Committee and AH Group Risk department, but administratively to the CEO

 

 

 

 

Major Responsibilities:

 

Liaise with functional managers in implementing effective risk management in their areas of responsibilities
Develop and implement a risk management framework in compliance with international risk management standards and principles as well as Central Bank Prudential guidelines.
Coordinate the identification, assessment, and recording of business risks that relate to the Bank’s business processes and functions.
Ensure the risk profile is aligned to the return/profitability aspirations of the business.
Articulate overall risk management policy and strategy at the enterprise level and for individual risk areas; communicate the bank’s risk management policy and strategy to operating entities.
Establish infrastructure, systems, and processes for identifying, managing, controlling and reporting risks across the business.
Monitor and report the current status of risks and the effectiveness of existing controls, and develop bank-wide credit strategies/policies and oversee credit portfolio management across the business on a monthly basis.
Constantly monitor and analyze the Bank’s credit position against market segments.
Ensure minimal credit risk exposure while maintaining profit maximization objectives.
Oversee risk management functions across all the business units and ensure compliance with the bank’s policy and direction.
Champion the continual review and update of the Bank’s policies, guidelines, and practices, in line with changes in credit risk and other business priorities.
Oversee the introduction and implementation of controls to ensure that the Bank’s risks assets are properly classified, recorded and monitored.
Oversee development of company’s business-specific risk tolerances and working with managers to establish control activities & recommending corrective actions where necessary
Help senior management define risk acceptance criteria and risk tolerance limits for each risk area.
Coordinate the identification /collation of comments/reports on potential and actual control lapses /weaknesses and obtain the appropriate approvals to implement their overhaul.
Stay abreast of local and global industry-wide control issues/fraudulent practices and champion efforts to ensure internal application of effective control practices in the Bank.

Other tasks as may be assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
Necessary experience, knowledge, and ability

Possession of degree(s) in any finance-related discipline
Graduate degree an advantage
Relevant professional qualification(s) in accounting or any finance-related discipline i.e. ACA, ACCA, CFA and CIS an advantage
Minimum of five (3) years’ cognate experience in a financial institution
Sound awareness/ understanding of trends and recent developments in banking and the financial services industry.
Relevant experience shall be in risk management in financial services.
Demonstrate a proven ability to manage market, liquidity and other types of enterprise risks.

AB BANK Rwanda Plc. is looking for qualified and competent staff to fill the position of Enterprise Application Officer.

 

Enterprise Application is responsible for designing, developing, implement and maintain new and existing applications, databases and other bank‘s initiatives. The enterprise Application officer reports directly to Head of IT

 

 

Major Responsibilities:

 

 

Plan the conceptual design for applications and databases, and contribute in the definition of software requirement specification
Design and implement new features for different applications, and across different sub-systems of the core banking system based on the business needs
Ensure high availability and performance of the bank’s applications, especially of the core banking system, by monitoring performance and managing parameters to provide fast responses to front-end users
Assist with planning, testing, and implementation of software upgrades, as required to remain up-to-date and attain “best functionality“ for the bank
Participate in plans for scaling and enhancing new and existing application and database systems and document proposed solutions
Deep proficiency and hands-on experience with Web Applications and programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery and API’s etc.
Deep functional knowledge or hands-on design experience with Web Services (REST, SOAP, etc ..)
Ensures governance, control and risk management in the application developing process especially in adherence to Data Protection Act, GDPR.
Ensure the web servers, applications are operating efficiently and adjusted to serve business needs.
Ensure the security of all application against cybersecurity vulnerabilities
Regulate and manage access rights of different users on applications as per the bank’s procedure.
Assisting & training the bank users in testing and adopting applications
Provide customer support and technical direction for problem resolution.
Review and analyze existing application effectiveness and efficiency and develop strategies for improving these systems.
Enforce and monitor security policies and procedures for software applications.
Perform applications configuration, monitoring, and administration.
Manage applications software upgrades when there is a new release.
Ensure that any new software integration into the Core Banking system meets functional requirements and system compliance.
Perform daily backup for applications.
Serve as a “backup” for the database administrator, and perform its duties in his/her absence.
Build custom reports and dashboards to support management decision making.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
Perform monthly/quarterly/yearly reporting

 

 

 

Necessary experience and knowledge

 

Minimum Bachelor’s degree (Engineering/ Computer Science or equivalent) and proven track record of application development
1-2 years of working experience in an IT- Application development–Banking sector
Strong computer programming skills with experience with SQL, MYSQL, HTML, XML, JavaScript, CSS, , JQuery, API’s… skills required
Knowledge or general understanding of Banking business
Excellent analytical skills including the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical users.
Must be proactive and have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues and end users.
Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and orally in English
Willingness to assist bank users throughout the country for software installation and support.
Flexibility and operational readiness, willingness to continue learning of new technologies and methodologies.
Broad knowledge of IT Infrastructure and IS applications
Knowledge of the full MS Office suite
