ARC is looking for qualified, self-driven and committed individual to join its Kigali main office – in the position of Receptionist.
LOCATION
PRIMARY PURPOSE
Full time; based in Kigali
Key responsibilities:
Greet, welcome, guide and direct office guests appropriately
Handle, answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
Ensure reception area is kept tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures) available for both guests and ARC operations
Provide or channel appropriately for basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email to inquiries
Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries and courier
Ensure front office safety and security, following laid down office safety and access procedures)
Arrange travel and accommodations, calendars and schedules, and related accountabilities for relevant staff
Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing
Minimum qualifications:
Minimum: Higher diploma plus relevant certifications in Front/Office Administration or Management
At least three years (3) proven full time work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role, in a large and busy agency/office.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
Hands-on experience handling and using office equipment (e.g. Landline , Fax Machine, Scanner and printers)
Professional attitude and appearance, and ability to multitask
Ability to adapt and handle emergency situations in a timely, calm and effective manner
A pleasant personality, with customer service orientation and attitude
Solid written and verbal communication skills required

VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT – OPERATIONS MANAGER
ARC is looking for qualified, self-driven and committed individual to join its Kigali main office – in the position of Operations Manager.
LOCATION
PRIMARY PURPOSE
Full time; based in Kigali
Key responsibilities:
Coordinate and plan operational activities for ARC Rwanda in collaboration with the Operations and Logistics Coordinator
Maintain and ensure full compliance to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and operational policies used in ARC Rwanda program
Ensure full compliance of operations with ARC and donor rules, regulations and policies
Stay abreast of relevant donor operational policies, procedures, rules and regulations and train ARC program and partner staff in these policies
Monitor, manage, maintain and update operations service contracts for all the ARC Rwanda related services
Oversee the management and maintenance of all ARC facilities (Offices, Guest Houses, Stores, Warehouses, etc.)
Ensure that appropriate controls and systems established for smooth operations management are adhered to, ensuring compliance with all operational policies and fraud prevention.
Coordinate regular market assessments to maintain accurate knowledge of local market prices and service providers for most common administration and operations goods and services
Prepare monthly status reports on fleet consumables including fuel,utilities, inventory and assets, contractor database and payments
Build the capacity of ARC operations staff to understand and utilize operations and supply chain tools and services for effective programming.
Supervise the warehouse manager in Kigali, and provide technical support to field based store keepers, ensuring proper warehousing, communication, assets and stock management and transportation.
Ensure that the vehicle fleet owned by, lent to or hired by ARC is managed according to ARC and/or donor’s policies and procedures, including efficient fuel consumption, maintenance and repairs, mileage monitoring etc.
In coordination with the Operations and Logistics Coordinator, monitor and report on the security situation in Rwanda on a regular basis managing all security incidents and crisis
Ensure safety of all ARC assets, supplies and ARC office and residential premises
Other appropriate duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Minimum qualifications:
Master’s degree in a related field required (Operations Management, Business Administration, Development Studies, Humanitarian Logistics, etc.), with additional four years relevant work experience; or
Minimum six years’ experience in operations and logistics management with humanitarian or development programs at the international level in diverse settings
Professional certification such as CSCP, CPIM, CLTD (Highly desirable)
Continuous education and specialized trainings in operations and logistics management
Skills and knowledge in use of Information Management Systems (IMS)
Strong experience and technical skills in supply chain management and asset management
Knowledge of donor’s procurement policies (US Gov, UNHCR etc.)
Experience coordinating transportation providers and third parties
Management experience leading a team of national staff
Fluent in spoken and written English with aptitude in report writing. Working knowledge of Kiswahili and/or French are an added advantage.

VACANCY – COUNSELOR
ARC seeks to work with partners, communities and displaced persons and refugees, in all the refugee sites in Rwanda to address risk of SGBV – through prevention and mitigation strategies and promoting resilience, and strengthening national and community-based systems that will prevent and mitigate SGBV. The program will also enable survivors and those at risk of SGBV to access care and support. ARC will support local and national capacity to create lasting solutions around SGBV.
ARC is looking for a qualified, self-driven and committed individual to be part of and contribute to accomplishing this NEW ambitious and exciting project – in the position of Counselor. This position is full time, based in Mugobwa Refugee Camp inGisagara District.
PRIMARY PURPOSE
Key responsibilities:
Responsible for case management and psychosocial support of vulnerable women, including survivors of violence at site level.
Provide case management services, including interviews with clients, assessments, and care plans; and maintain case records – and implementation reporting.
Provide referrals for survivors according to their wishes; accompany survivors to support services, police or family as requested.
Coordination with outreach volunteers for support of cases and also train them to provide basic emotional support and referrals.
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor or recognized advanced diploma or equivalent in Social work, public health, or any other similar field.
Three years’ experience working with women and children in conflict or refugee settings required. Experience working in GBV programs, and with survivors of GBV is preferred.
Recognized counseling training, certification and experience required.
Cultural understanding and context preferred.
Excellent communication skills, with good spoken and written English & the local language required. MS Computer competency.
