Clinical Psychologist

About the Role:

Clinical Psychologist will work to contribute to improvement of mental health status of the targeted population of Mahama Camp through the provision of psychological support and therapy

Qualifications and experience

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical psychology, Community Psychology or any relevant qualification.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in diagnosing and treating mental, emotional and behavioural disorders with training in clinical psychology and knowledge in Trauma counselling.
• Training in Occupational therapy be will be an advantage.
• A strong understanding of the profession and the role of a clinical psychologist in mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS).
• A strong understanding of the profession and the role of a clinical psychologist in mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS).
• Computer knowledge and documentation skills.
• Knowledge of individual and group therapy treatment protocols.
• Strong knowledge of MHPSS related best practices and tools, including IASC Guidelines on MHPSS in emergency settings, SOPs, caring for Survivors/Working with Survivors Training Tools, WHO Recommendations, etc.
• Ability to conduct accurate assessments.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Tolerance of stress.

About the Role:

Supporting individual children and families through provision of case management services and increasing the community’s capacity to identify and respond to child protection concerns.

 

 

Qualifications and experience

 

• Supporting individual children and families through provision of case management services and increasing the community’s capacity to identify and respond to child protection concerns.
University degree in social sciences, arts, public administration, social administration, community development.
• 2 years’ experience working with children and child protection & SGBV case management or community in case management and SGBV domain.
• Ability to communicate in English, French and Kinyarwanda through verbal and written communication.
• Good technical understanding of child protection, SGBV and community based approaches.
• Computer knowledge.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Be able to prioritize tasks.
• Able to work to tight deadlines and under pressure.
• Experience with community development, working with children and schools.
• Very good communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to think critically and to recommend good solutions to problems.
• Strong Organizational skills.
• Ability to conduct outreach at the community level.

Integrity Community Case Management (ICCM) Officer AT Save the Children : ( Deadline : 16 December 2019 )

 

About the Role:

Under supervision of Community Health, Disease Prevention and Health Promotion Supervisor, the ICCM officer will be a crucial part of a team responsible and accountable for ensuring the implementation of community health package related to health and nutrition program, supervising the community health worker’s day to day activities. S/he will provide community health workers (CHWs) with capacity building and work with other health actors on community health program development in line with MOH guidelines (Binome and ASM/CMNH packages).

 

 

Qualifications and experience

 

• At least Bachelor’s degree in Nursing Sciences, Bachelor’s degree in Clinical medicine and community health or Bachelor’s degree in Public health with background in nursing. Strong requirement of Valid and current license to practice from relevant bodies (Rwanda council of nurses and midwives (NCNM) or Rwanda Allied Health Professions Council (RAHPC).
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in community health related activities and programs.
• Previous experience in ICCM implementation
• Experience in implementing community mobilization, IEC and BCC.
• Experience in humanitarian settings is required.
• Ability to cultivate strong collaboration with other team members and key stakeholders such as support staff, operations staff, clinicians, community leaders, etc.
• Previous experience working with refugees
• Report writing skills in English is required.
• Good knowledge of Child Safeguarding
• Commitment to Save the Children International values
• Ability to use Adobe programmes including Photoshop, Premieres, InDesign and illustrator
• Experience working in an international NGO
