Job Description

  • Conducts research on the impact of genocide on individuals, families and societies in relation to recovery processes.
  • Analyses and critically understands theories related to the effects of genocide and recovery programmes.
  • Conducts research on the psychological effects of genocide in Rwandan society.
  • Prepares reports and articles for publication and dissemination.
  • Uses internet based technologies to further research and spread findings.
  • Gathers testimonies in the scope of discovering how post-conflict restructuration is working.

Job Profile

PHD or Master’s Degree in Genocide Studies and Prevention, Sociology, Clinical Psychology, Education Sciences,

Anthropology, Political Sciences, Psychology, Administrative Sciences, and Public Administration with 2 years of working experience and 2 Scientific Papers published.

Key Technical Skills & Knowledge required:

Job Description

  • Assist Research Fellow and Associate Research Fellow in the undertaking of research into the area of genocide denial and related effects.
  • Undertake collaborative research pertaining to the nature, causes and roots of genocide denial.
  • Help to disseminate relevant publications on genocide denial or other related human rights issues.
  • Monitor and analyze information and events in relation to genocide denial and similar activities.
  • Establish a comprehensive framework for fighting genocide denial and related effects.
  • Raise public awareness on international justice’s response against genocide perpetrators.
  • Work under the guidance of the Research Fellow and the Associate Research Fellow, but also contribute to research through innovation and ideas

Job Profile

Masters degree in Sociology, Social Work, Law, Political Science, Genocide Studies and Prevention, Human Rights, Anthropology, History with 2 years of working experience and 2 Scientific Papers published.

Job Description

  • Provide good reception and tour guide for visitors
  • Offer the service if necessary counseling to report on each need for site maintenance
  • Make a detailed report on donations collected at the memorial site ensure that a memorial site environment is always clean
  • Oversee the maintenance of particular graves during the rainy season and during the period of commemoration
  • Analyze and develop strategies and adequate measures for the stability and the preservation of memory and the promotion of visits to the memorial site
  • Develop and support the means of self financing memorial site any other task assigned by the CNLG
  • To be the focal point of CNLG at the local level
  • To collaborate with CNLG partners
