Job Description

Reporting to Director of Documentation, Publication, Communication and Technology Promotion Unit :

– Develop marketing and communication strategy

– Manage the department’s content and channel strategy, in consultation with division and department, leadership, in support of both ongoing and new communications goals.

– Oversee the execution of new communications for internal and external audiences; evaluate and elevate existing communications; drive cross departments collaboration on the timing of communications to ensure well
– timed engagement with key audiences, and oversee results.

– Translate complex concepts into persuasive communications, review and approve messaging and communications written by others before they are published.

– Responsible for all written communication

– Write and distributes the monthly newsletter,

– Writes articles and news releases to the local and international press

 

 

Job Profile

Master’s Degree in Communication, Journalism, Knowledge Management, Agricultural Extension and Communication, International Relations, Arts and Publishing, Arts and Creative Industry with at least 1 year of relevant working experience or Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, Journalism, Knowledge Management, Agricultural Extension and Communication, International Relations, Arts and Publishing, Arts and Creative Industry with at least 3 years of relevant working experience. Key Technical Skills & Knowledge required:
– Ability to develop strategic documents such as communication, publicity and marketing strategy, and knowledge management strategy
– Ability to implement knowledge management strategy
– Conversant with research performance analytical tools
– Deep knowledge in innovative tools such as open data sources, for dissemination of research findings to users;
– Proper recording and preservation of research findings and extension materials;
– Basic knowledge of organizational policies and procedures;

Job Description

Reporting to the Director General , the Legal Affairs Specialist will be responsible of the following:
– Practices preventative law, provides legal advice and assistance to RAB management and internal departments

– Assist line management in understanding legal and contractual risks and mitigate those risks

– Draft, review and revises contract documentation, including tender documentation and ensuring it is qualified

– Provide support, advice and guidance as necessary to the staff of the institution and senior managers on legal and contractual matters on projects.

– Assist the institution in any negotiations and vetting of contracts at national and International level

– Instruct and supervise external solicitors in litigation and other legal matters concerning the institution

– Ensure compliance with national legislation, agreements entered between the institution and private individuals, the private companies, countries and international organizations in the interest of the institution

Job Description

Supervise budget preparation and its execution
• Supervise the preparation of the draft budget;
• Monitoring the annual operating budgets ;
• Control budget execution in compliance with the public finance rules and procedures;
• Make relevant monthly and annual reports of the budget execution;
• Prepare periodic cash flow plans;

Supervise Payments for goods and services:
• To check conformity and accuracy of payments requests;
• Ensure proper disbursement of funds is supported by appropriate vouchers;
• Ensure the establishment and maintenance of appropriate
• Cash Book and General Ledger to Record Revenue and Expenditure operations;
• Coordinate preparation of bank reconciliation statements at the end of each month ;

Accounting Professional Qualification recognised by IFAC (ACCA, CPA) with 1 year
