Job Description

Functions and tasks: 1. Manage REMA visitors
– Welcome and orient visitors in respective units;

– Exhibit professional behaviour and positive impression to visitors to reflect REMA good image and ensure visitors satisfaction;

– Provide visitors with useful information about the Institution as and/or when required;

– Provide key brochures/newspapers to visitors;

– Connect visitors with relevant Managers;

– Provide positive feedback to customers and manage their complaints.
2. Share information to relevant Authority, staff or stakeholders

– Listen very carefully, answer incoming calls, and explain services that REMA offers;

– Properly handle stakeholders inquiries;

– Manage appointments as may be required by the visitors to the related staff;

– Reply to mails while necessary.
3. Report to the Director of Administration and Finance
– Follow instructions of the Director of Administration and Finance on how to provide specific information to provide to REMA visitors;

– Prepare and submit on regular basis a report of the reception to the Director of Administration and Finance

Job Description

Functions and tasks: 1. Contribute to the preparation, monitoring and implementation of multilateral agreements and obligations ? Prepare and monitor programs and plans for the implementation of Multilateral Environmental Agreements and other International Environmental Obligations (MEA- IO);

-Assess convention decisions and recommendations to update the convention’s implementation plans in collaboration with national focal points for different Environmental Agreements and Obligations;

-Provide technical input in negotiating and implementing regional and international conventions, protocols and treaties relating to environmental management;

-Review financing agreements related to bilateral and multilateral environmental agreements between REMA and its development partners;
2. Draft and review legal instruments regarding international, bilateral and multilateral environmental agreements ? Review national policies and legal framework to ensure compliance with international obligation and assist in the domestication procedures of international obligation;

-Draft required legal instruments related to domestication of bilateral and multilateral environmental agreements and make due follow up
3. Prepare, review, and disseminate GEF, GCF guidelines and other environmental funding mechanisms ? Review Global Environmental Facility (GEF), Green Climate Fund (GCF) projects proposals and other climate related projects;
– Prepare and disseminate guidelines and other tools related to the GEF, GCF and other environmental funding mechanisms
4. Provide guidance to different MEA
– IO focal points to ensure their fulfillment of set objectives ? Initiate and coordinate the preparation of the national reports in collaboration with national focal points for different MEA
– IO;
– Provide legal advice on information to be posted on climate change website
– Act as focal point for Ministry of Foreign Affairs in regard with Joint Permanent Commissions (JPC) activities.

Job Description

Functions and tasks: 1. Prepare annual audit plan
– Consults different units for collecting information regarding their annual activities;

– Prepares a risk based audit plan;

– Designs the audit plan with clear timing;

– Ensures that the annual audit plan is approved by management of the institution and submitted to MINECOFIN.
2. Carrying out financial review (Monthly and annually)
– Conducts the review of financial statement;

– Reviews all payment done during the period under review for eg: Monthly, Quarterly;

– Provides Findings to the units under audit;

– Provides final reports to the Director General;

3. Carrying out annual systems audits

4. Carrying out compliance audits

Function and tasks: 1. Provide a policy, legal and strategic framework to strengthen environmental research in Rwanda
– Contribute to the preparation, update and implementation of environmental research in Rwanda;
