Good Neighbors International (GNI) is an international humanitarian and development Non- Governmental Organization in General Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN ECOSOC). GNI strives to improve lives, especially children’s lives, through community development projects. In order to complete its staff, Good Neighbors International would like to recruitdifferent staff with the following positions:

Position: IG Project Senior Coordinator

Based in Kigali

Key responsibilities included;

Increase the production and quality of crops
Understand the laws and regulations under which food crops must be produced
Plan, monitor and supervise agricultural activities
Conduct experiments and develop the best cultivation methods
Determine ways of cultivating crops on different plots of land, having in consideration the conditions of soil
Make decisions about the plowing, sowing and plant protection
Educate and mobilize community on cultivation methods and post-harvest handling techniques
Select and procure the seeds, fertilizers and other materials required for plant growth
Train and motivate farmers and report activities to managers
Communicate and cooperate with local authorities and agronomists
Work with a farmers cooperative with 1,600 members to improve business and marketing
Encourage GNI beneficiaries to contribute to the growth of their own community Development Fund (CDF)

Supervise and monitor farmers’ Cooperative administration, finance, accounting and records keeping procedures
Monitor and supervise warehouse management
Qualifications and skills

The candidate must be bachelor’s degree inAgriculture, specifically Crop Production, Agronomy, agro-economy and agro-business.
At least 5-7 years of experience in related field
Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
Fluent in speaking English
Computer literate with good knowledge of MS office (Word, Excel, Power point)
Skills in cooperatives/small groups’ management are preferred.
