TERMS OF REFERENCE FOR RECRUITING THE CONTRACTUAL STAFF

The Institute of Legal Practice and Development (ILPD) is looking for high calibre candidates for following positions:




Short trainings coordinator one year contract renewable

Public relations officer, permanent position

Details on the positions:

I. Short trainings coordinator (Contractual position)

Main attributions:

Draft contracts for Continuing Legal Education (CLE) trainers;

Coordinate Continuing Legal Education (CLE) trainings organized by the institute, inside and outside;

Develop learning outcomes of each training to be organized;

Manage the training program;

Identify and requisition all materials needed for each training;

Inspect the training venues both before and during the training;

Circulate and collect attendance list of participants;

Evaluate the trainings and prepare training report of each training;

Closely follow up with institutions sending trainees;

Keep all information relating to the trainings organized by the Institute, and prepare certificates for trainees;

Qualifications and skills required:

AO inLaw

Good analytical skills and ability to synthesize information;

Good written and interpersonal communication skills;

Good networking skills and result-oriented;

Ability to pay attention to details;

Fluent in English and Kinyarwanda, both written and oral.

II. Public Relations officer (Permanent position)

Attributions

Develop marketing strategies to support the growth and expansion of ILPD services;

Carry out analysis of the institute periodically to identify areas of priority for Public relations;

Create, monitor and communicate programs that effectively describe and promote ILPD and its products and services;

Implement, monitor and evaluate marketing communication strategies including advertising, promotion and public relations to support the marketing objectives and maximise the positive exposure in national, regional and global markets;




Write and distribute press releases informing public about new developments within the institute;

Organize events including press conferences, exhibitions, open days and press tours;

Maintain and update information on the institute’s website;

Manage the Public Relation aspect of all situations.

Qualifications required

AO in Marketing or Journalism;

Competencies and skills:

Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures;

A wide degree of creativity; Ability to perform variety of tasks;

Full proficiency in both written and oral English and Kinyarwanda

Copy of required Degree;

Copy of Rwanda National Identity Card;

Copy the Equivalence for those whose degrees were obtained abroad.

The required documents should be submitted at the reception of ILPD, Nyanza District, and Southern Province or at ILPD Kigali Office (located in former ICTR Information and Documentation Center, Kiyovu) or send by email to [email protected] with copy to [email protected] and [email protected] not later than 19th April 2017 at 5: 00 pm.
