Position: Branches & Distribution Network Manager (1 Position)
Department: Operations Department
Reports to: General Manager-Operations
Job purpose:
The incumbent will be mainly responsible for business development and efficient running of day to day operational activities within the Branch Network.
Duties and Responsibilities
-Designing & implementing the Branch Network sales growth strategies, monitoring team performance and ensuring the set budget/objectives are met; for both the assets and liabilities products.
-Ensure risk management processes and procedure are appropriately followed.
-Supporting the change initiatives in the central operations department and ensure that all projects are properly documented; staff trained and costs controlled.
-Maintain a strong control environment and a culture of honesty and integrity.
-Conformity of Branches to I&M Bank’s marketing and branding strategy.
-Support profitability of branches and business development across all segments (Retail, Business Banking, and Corporate) in liaison with the Head of Retail and BDMs.
-Setting branches targets in agreement with Head of business units (mainly Retail & Business Banking) and regular monitoring of their performances;
-Develop strong MIS system for branch volumes and profitability reporting in alliance with Finance and product development Head.
Required skills and capabilities
-A bachelors’ Degree in a relevant field and a Certified Banker’s course would be an added advantage.
-At least five years of Banking experience in Branch Operations and Business Development.
-A good understanding of BNR regulations;
-Prior experience in leading teams while sussccefuly managing performance.
-Knowledge of operational risk best practices and control processes & procedures in banking.
-Ability to efficiently solve problems while ensuring business continuity.
-A good business acumen
