Job Description
To advise on appropriate policies for private sector development and prepare draft policy papers;
– To act as liaison with relevant Ministries and Agencies working in the promotion of investment and export promotion;
– To develop coordination and consultative mechanisms and processes for private sector;
– To assess the potential for private sector development, identify gaps, as well as future expansion in existing sub sectors, and advice on appropriate interventions;
– To evaluate private bankable projects for adoption by private sector entities;
– To mobilize and investigate new sources of funding, foreign, domestic, public and private;
– To develop mechanisms and incentives for private sector financing;
– To establish and develop working relationships with partners in the private sector
– To mobilize private sector investment in the agriculture sector
– To prepare and update a national database of private sector involvement in the agricultural sector;
Job Profile
A0 in Agribusiness, Agriculture
– Economics with 3 Years of working Experience or Master’s Degree in Agribusiness, Agriculture
– Economics, Agriculture
Key technical skills and knowledge required:
– Knowledge of different financing options for
Agriculture Projects in the context of developing
countries;
– Knowledge of project finance and different
possible financing models;
– Ability to develop coordination mechanisms
and information sharing platforms;
