Job Description

– Supervise company oriented support programs aiming at increasing national exports in general;

– Supervise company oriented support programs aiming at promoting cross border trade;

– Participate in development and implementation of export policies and strategies;

– Participate in development and implementation of trade facilitation programs;

– Supervise company oriented support programs aiming at increasing domestic production for import substitution;

– Participate in skills development for the private sector;

– Maintain contact with the Head of Export and Business Department regarding operational, financial (budget) and staff matters relevant to the Division and ensure that they are effectively managed;

– Maintain good partnership with all stakeholders on issues of mutual interests;

– Maintain a highly motivated team that fully understands its responsibilities and the division’s objectives; ensure effective performance;

– Maintain quality procedures in line with RDB guidelines;

– Present concise regular reports to the Head of Export and Business Department;

– Carry out any other related assignments which are beneficial to the Export and Business Department.
Job Profile
•Master’s and bachelor Degrees in Business or Economics Studies with 5 years of related working experience or A0 in above mentioned areas with 8 years of related working experience
•Ability to provide guidance and leadership on export promotion strategy and or planning, or alternatively to develop and work with strategic plans at the enterprise, sector, and country levels;
•Ability to relate to and understand the export and other business development needs of the private sector in Rwanda;
•Ability to plan effectively and to manage a multi
– cultural team across different functional areas and specializations;
•Ability to work with excel files, Microsoft Project, Power
– point, etc.
•Ability to work effectively under pressure and to deliver high
– quality results sometimes within tight timelines;
•Proven relationship management skills;
•Deep understanding of multilateral trading system of international development programs, particularly, trade development programs
•Ability to effectively coach export enterprise and trade support institutions in areas linked to international trade and export development
•Ability to critically analyze and understand trade data and trade agreements and other legal documents
•Fluent in both written & Spoken English and Kinyarwanda. French will be an added advantage.
