Job Description

1. Conduct statistical analysis, and interpretation to inform policy formulation, planning and decision making

– Create a system that facilitate effective collection and correction of data

– Collect data and evidences for elaboration of sector policies, strategies and plans

– Analyse, interpret data and categorize sex disaggregated data at all levels

– Cross check and triangulate the institution’s available data and figures with publically available sources

– Report drafting and submission to the Director of Unit

– Provide an essential framework to be used in the collection, preparation, recording and use of statistics

– Undertake important recommendations for research
2. Participating in the preparation of the institution’s annual and strategic plans

– Collect the data and evidence for elaboration of sector policies, strategies and plans

– Cross check and triangulate the institution’s available data and figures with publically available sources

– Provide information on needed information during the planning and budgeting process

 

Job Profile

A0 in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Economics

Key Technical Skills & Knowledge required

 

– Mathematical skills and knowledge of use of statistical packages such as SPSS or other
statistical and or mathematical analysis programs;

– Skills in sampling, collecting, computing, and analyzing statistical data, and applying
statistical techniques;

– Computer Skills;

– Organizational Skills;

– Communication Skills;

– High analytical Skills;

– Complex Problem Solving;

– Time management Skills;

– Team working Skills;

– Fluency in Kinyarwanda, English and/ or French; knowledge of all is an advantage.
