Sonarwa Life is seeking to recruit highly competent and professional individuals to fi ll the following 16 positions which comprise
of: three Chief Officer Positions, nine Head of Department Positions and four Manager Positions.

 

Chief Commercial Officer

To be appointed to the Chief Commercial Offi cer role the successful candidate must have:
• A Bachelors and Master’s Degree in a relevant fi eld;
• Relevant professional qualifi cation; and
• Seven (7) years’ relevant working experience in Senior Management.

Chief Operations Officer

To be appointed to the Chief Operations Offi cer role the successful candidate must have:
• A Bachelors and Master’s Degree in a relevant fi eld;
• Relevant Professional qualifi cation; and
• Seven (7) years’ relevant working experience in Senior Management.

Chief Finance and Administration Officer

To be appointed to the Chief Finance and Administration Offi cer role the successful
candidate must have:
• A Bachelors and Master’s Degree in a relevant fi eld;
• Certifi ed Public Accountant (CPA) or Certifi ed Chartered Accountant (ACCA)
qualifi cation; and
• Seven (7) years’ relevant working experience in Senior Management.



Head, Corporate Business

To be appointed to the Head, Corporate Business role the successful candidate must
have:
• A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant fi eld, while a Master’s Degree or relevant
professional qualifi cation are added advantage; and
• Five (5) years’ relevant working experience.

 

Head, Retail Business

To be appointed to the Head, Retail Business role the successful candidate must have:
• A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant fi eld, while a Master’s Degree or relevant
professional qualifi cation are added advantage; and
• Five (5) years’ relevant working experience.

Legal Manager

To be appointed to the Legal Manager role the successful candidate must have:
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Law. Master’s Degree is an added advantage;
• Post Graduate Diploma in law, practice license is not necessary; and
• Three (3) years’ relevant working experience.

Internal Audit Manager

To be appointed to the Internal Audit Manager role the successful candidate must have:
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Business Management or a relevant fi eld. Master’s
Degree is an added advantage;
• Certifi cation as a Chartered Information System Auditor (CISA),Certifi ed Internal
Auditor (CIA) or Certifi ed Public Accountant ( CPA) ; and
• Three (3) years’ relevant working experience.

Head, Claims Management

To be appointed to the Head, Claims Management role the successful candidate must
have:
• Bachelor’s Degree in in a business related fi eld. Master’s Degree an added advantage;
• Five (5) years’ experience in insurance; three (3) of which should be in a managerial
capacity in claims management;
• Professional qualifi cation in Insurance (ACII, CII).

Head, Information Technology

To be appointed to the Head, Information Technology role the successful candidate must
have:
• Bachelors in ICT, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related fi eld. Masters is
an added advantage;
• Relevant professional IT qualifi cation ;and
• Five (5) years’ experience in Information Technology of which three (3) should have
been on a management position.

Manager, Actuarial and Strategy

To be appointed to the Manager Actuarial and Strategy role the successful candidate

• Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science. Master’s Degree an added advantage;
• Three (3) years’ relevant experience, advising management on Actuarial and Strategy;
and
• Actuarial professional qualifi cations.



Head, Human Resources

To be appointed to the Head, Human Resources role the successful candidate must have:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Human Resource, Business Management or any
other relevant fi eld. Masters is an added advantage;
• Higher Diploma qualifi cation in Human Resource Management, Business
Administration, or its equivalent; and
• Five (5) years’ experience in Human Resource of which three (3) should have been at
a management level.

Head, Risk and Compliance

To be appointed to the Head, Risk and Compliance role the successful candidate must
have:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Business Management or a relevant fi eld. Masters is
an added advantage;
• Chartered Information System Auditor (CISA)/ Certifi ed Internal Auditor (CIA)
Certifi ed Public Accountant ( CPA) certifi cation;
• Five(5) years relevant experience in Risk and Compliance of which three (3) must
have been in a management position.

Head, Legal and Company Secretary

To be appointed to the Head, Legal and Company role the successful candidate must
have:
• Bachelor’s Degree in law;
• Relevant Diploma in law;
• Practicing licence; and
• Five (5) years’ experience in law of which three (3) should have been at senior
management level.

Head, Internal Audit

To be appointed to the Head, Internal Audit role, the successful candidate must have:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Business Management or a relevant fi eld. Masters is
an added advantage;
• Chartered Information System Auditor (CISA)/ Certifi ed Internal Auditor (CIA)
Certifi ed Public Accountant ( CPA) certifi cation; and
• Five (5) years relevant experience in Internal Audit of which three (3) must have been
in a management position.

Risk and Compliance Manager

To be appointed to the Risk and Compliance Manager role, the successful candidate must
have:
• Bachelor’s Degree in, Business Administration, Accounting and any other related;
• Chartered Information System Auditor (CISA)/ Certifi ed Internal Auditor (CIA)
Certifi ed Public Accountant ( CPA) certifi cation;
• At least three (3) years of experience in relevant fi eld.

Head, Underwriting

To be appointed to the Head, Underwriting role, the successful candidate must have:
• Bachelor’s Degree in in a business related fi eld. Master’s Degree an added advantage;
• Five (5) years relevant experience in Underwriting of which three (3) must have been
in a management position; and
• Professional qualifi cation in Insurance (ACII, FLMI).
