Job Description

• Implements and maintains Geospatial Data databases;
• Design and implement frameworks to manage complex workflows and monitor data quality;
• To insure the coordination of spatial data collection
• Reviews and evaluates spatial data supplied by other institutions
– recommending any necessary changes;
• Selects and adapts standard GIS techniques, procedures and criteria to fit each project;
• To develop a web mapping for data dissemination;
• Data conversion, migration and map production in a layered environment;
• Understanding and following mapping standards;
• Build libraries and frameworks to empower data scientists to effectively work with our data products;
• Setup applicable attribute information;
• Edit and create new feature classes within the map environment;
• Development and support of geographic databases;
• Design, build and deploy ETL pipelines that are efficient, reliable and easy to operate Research and build efficient and scalable data storage and retrieval systems that enable interactive reporting on high dimensional data;
• Request equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining NSDI and ensuring availability of required data, as required;
• Respond to emergency situations during or after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate client concerns and meet SLAs;
• Attend meetings, workshops, training, and seminars for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functions;
• Evaluate, diagnose, troubleshoot cabling infrastructure systems and perform repairs as necessary;
Perform other duties as assigned by management

Job Profile

A0 in Geoinformatics, Geograhy,Geomatrics Engineering Surveying and
Geomatrics Engineering, Cartography with 3 years of working experience
or Master’s in Geoinformatics, Geograhy,Geomatrics Engineering Surveying
and Geomatrics Engineering, Cartography
Key technical skills and knowledge required:

– Knowledge of in geospatial applications Software;

– High analytical and problem solving skills;

– High command in GIS skills and webmapping Knoweledge;

– High command in ICT programating

– Decision making skills;

– Excellent communication skills ;

– Very effective organization skills;

– Team working skills;

– Computer skills;

– Extensive knowledge in technological and methodological aspects of geo

information processing and infrastructure to solve complex application

problems and to develop technology
– oriented concepts for the new geo

information society.

– Fluent in Kinyarwanda, English and French; knowledge of all is an

advantage
