Position Summary
The Marketing Manager directs and executes marketing campaigns for events and programs, both short and long range, targeted toward existing and new markets. This position is responsible for the development of integrated marketing strategies and promotional campaigns for PHTA’s membership programs, certification, events and education. The manager will develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to increase member awareness of the association’s benefits and increase engagement in PHTA activities. The manager will also be responsible for implementing programs to maintain/enhance social media presence and to sustain the PHTA brand image across all materials and events.

Work to determine marketing needs for PHTA based on strategic plan and budget goals for the organization
Create, maintain, as well as follow, marketing plans for each program, service, and event
Organize and document all campaign details
Create targeted and effective marketing campaign materials (writes copy, provide art direction, HTML emails, some graphic design/layout required.
Administer and manage email announcements through web-based systems, including writing of emails, culling of target lists, and designing templates
Coordinate print and direct marketing timelines and deadlines for production by working with key team members across departments including Meetings and Membership
Maintain marketing calendars and project schedule for PHTA marketing activities
Pull, edit and maintain target lists for use in all marketing campaigns
Prepare marketing materials for promotional use at all meetings
Participate in the development and implementation of a social media strategy
Develop, write, and produce communication vehicles directed to members, i.e. marketing related content for social media, email communications and print and digital ad copy. Web site text related to membership, etc.
Maintain PHTA web sites and related member portals
Develop and maintain new member packets and or collateral for new members, working to improve and make content more audience-specific
Assist in planning for and on-site operations of PHTA-sponsored meetings and conferences
Assist with graphic design for meeting promotions ensuring design concept and message is consistent throughout all communications
Adhere to, and help enforce company-wide email communications strategy
Other duties as assigned

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Communications or related discipline.
Requires a minimum of three (3) years experience in marketing, communication, program/product marketing, and/or member communications programs (trade association experience preferred).
Must be able to work on project teams and share accountability/reward for achieving broader goal.
Must possess strong initiative and be results-oriented.
Requires excellent written and oral communication and project management skills.
Requires intermediate to expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Web applications, including email platforms.
Requires intermediate knowledge of social media applications.
