Irving, Texas, JOB SUMMARY The Seasonal RN program includes: -13 week assignment -Flat $44/hr. plus applicable shift diffs (must work part time hours; 24 hours/week) -$1,000 Completion Bonus at the end of 13 weeks and $3,500 sign-on bonus (50% at end of Week 4 and 50% at end of Week 13)   Location/Facility: Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Irving Specialty/Department/Practice: Mother Baby Unit Shift/Schedule: Seasonal PRN Nights 7pm-7am We are looking for RNs to work in one of our Mother Baby units.   The Registered Nurse (RN) exhibits and executes Baylor Scott & White Health’s (BSWH) Values & Behaviors in delivering and coordinating patient care. Utilizing the BSWH nursing professional practice model, the RN is a licensed professional who is responsible for using clinical reasoning, developing, implementing and evaluating the nursing plan of care, managing both emotional and physical patients, assessing patient and family level of understanding to provide effective communication and education, working collaboratively with medical staff and providing quality care in a compassionate and professional manner.

    Our Mother Baby RNs are focused on providing comprehensive care to mothers and their newborns after the delivery.  Our Mother Baby RNs continuously monitor the health of mothers and their babies and provide baby care and lactation support, education and guidance.  Combined with their knowledge and understanding of patient safety, postpartum care procedures and prenatal and postnatal care, our Mother Baby RNs are adept at monitoring the condition of the mother-baby couplet and establishing solid communications between the mother and her medical care staff.     Ideal Mother Baby RN candidates will be knowledgeable of postpartum and couplet care procedures, understand labor and delivery practices and have excellent problem solving and communications skills.

    QUALIFICATIONS – EDUCATION – Grad of Accred Prog or Eqival – MAJOR – Nursing – EXPERIENCE – 2+ years of recent RN experience in Mother/Baby (couplets) or Postpartum required – CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION –        Registered Nurse (RN)        BLS and NRP certifications required within 30 days of hire or transfer
